“Indonesia, Egypt, Malaysia, United Arab Emirates,”
Indonesia is not “evolving” in a good way. Sharia law is now taking hold and Islamism is becoming the norm. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/12/world/asia/indonesia-sharia-law-aceh.html?mcubz=0
Egypt was only recently under the heel of the Muslim Brotherhood and has been unsuccessful in crushing Islamic terrorist groups in places like the Sinai. Also, persecution of Christians is increasing there.
Malaysia is going the same way as Indonesia, but at a slower rate. Example: http://www.scmp.com/week-asia/politics/article/2079953/whats-driving-malaysian-support-islamic-penal-code
U.A.E. is not truly evolving either. It’s royal elite is simply trying to hold onto power. The emirs like their Western porn and prostitutes and whiskey and know they have to buy off and suppress their own people to forestall unrest. They do what they do to hold on to power and not out of a sense of right vs. wrong.
