Newt is a man that can sound very good at times. He’s given some of the best Constitutional presentations I’ve seen. They are absolutely brilliant.

Then he goes out and actually advocates for something that is diametrically opposed to the Constitution. I wish it weren’t so, but he does it. I don’t remember the issue right now, but it had to do with free speech or some such. He’s a dolt.

McCain, Dole, Newt, from time to time they uncork comments that baffle you. When the government shut-down was forced by Clinton’s refusal to sign legislation back in the 90s, Newt got the blame.

This went on for days, and finally on a Friday morning the media broke. They announced that Clinton had called special meeting with his staff, because they had to find a way to resolve the government shut down by the end of the weekend. It just couldn’t go on.

This was not an announcement of bipartisan work, it was the Clinton White House being telegraphed as on the verge of caving. Newt and Conservatism were suddenly poised to win big.

Bob Dole, ignoramus that he was walked up to a microphone that Friday afternoon and said something to this effect. This shut down cannot go on. Republicans are going to have to compromise.

There it was. The momentum had been broken. Bob Dole handed the Democrats an out, and Newt took it on the shorts in perpetuity. He had been sold out.

The Republicans caved.

While in this instance Newt was the one who was undercut by an idiot, here he is doing the same damned thing.

He is voicing the thought that Trump is failing and he must compromise.

Sadly, some folks who are blinded to what an idiot these folks can be, sign on thinking they are brilliant. No, Newt can be as big a fool as any other person, and that’s exactly what is going on here.

Why was Clinton so successful? Why was he able to avoid impeachment? It was because his side remain solidified, refusing to accept defeat at any turn.

Is Newt an example of that right now? NO!

That’s why I am blistering him with criticism here.

YOU DO NOT WIN BY CAVING. Newt should know that better than anyone after the heat/blame he received after the Clinton government shut-down.

Bob Dole grabbed defeat from the jaws of victory, and that’s exactly what Newt is doing here.

If you think the generals are on Trump’s side, you haven’t been paying attention.

We the people silent majority haven't had to figure out how to become “ ungovernable” by an unrepresentative entrenched class - but I’m sure we can figure it out

Several posters have asked Strac6 what Gingrich wants Trump to do. In one post he said Trump needed to be "more disciplined." Really, that's the depth of Newt's advice? The author of the article does not explain it either.

"Serious changes?" Sorry, it is a tautology that any human changes. The WH needs to change? OK, how exactly?

What pathetic ‘advice.’ So status quo ante bellum? President Trump has come to upset the existing globalist GOPe-Democrat cabal. You cannot conscript him back to business as usual. And make no mistake about it. This is a political, cultural and sociological war. Right now it hasn’t gotten hot except for street skirmishes. If there were only one thing this brave man has done (there are many) is to expose how corrupt the system has become and how it must be fundamentally changed. His legacy will be forever entrenched in American history for this alone. And Newt wants him neutered. Quoting from the same polls which have been time and again proven to be fictions. Right.

Sometimes my comments look as if targeted to trash one poster, when in truth I have addressed one poster to get my thoughts out knowing the person isn’t alone in their thoughts.

Strac6 was the victim of sorts here, but he’s not the only one who sees Newt a lot better than I do.

You touch on a valid point too. That does not pass the test for me, in that you are exactly right. What does Newt want Trump to do?

Newt isn’t the only one to go on shows and voice opinions as if he always has the best judgement.

His own life reveals that he doesn’t.

If you can’t support Trump Newt, then stay off the shows and keep quiet.

All he’s doing is feeding the Left new punch lines.

I’m sick of folks like this supposedly on our side.

A couple of thoughts: Slick was impeached, but not removed.

One of the House members who led the impeachment was a client and a long time friend. He says the deal was made that the Senate would acquit before the Articles of Impeachment were ever passed by the House, because that’s the only way the wimpy House Rs would vote for it.

Also, remember what Newt is. He is a brilliant man.... just never ask him to be in charge of actualizing any of his ideas. He the is best conservative “action thinker” in DC, made the mistake of calling the R emphasis points wrong in the 1998 election, is totally disorganized, but is still the best there ever was at seeing the endgame even when he has a very few facts at the outset.

His ability to see the endgame is why his current comments are especially valid... and valuable.

The Trump presidency is certainly saveable, but ff Newt is “concerned”, so am I.

I have not spoken to The Good Mr. Gingrich in years, but regarding what we wants Trump to do might be this:

Today’s “Newt’s News” public message was just a (very serious) wake-up call. The advice will/would come in private.

Just my best guess.

“Strac6 was the victim of sorts here”

No problem, not to worry. Law in DC was “A game played in long pants” as the old expression went.

Have a good weekend.

Yes, Clinton was impeached, but as you state not removed. I misspoke, but you probably knew what I meant.

As for the articles, the ones they chose were idiotic. There were much more important reasons on the books and they ignored them to pick really childish ones.

I don’t think Newt is the best end-game thinker by any stretch of the imagination. Sometimes he gets it right. Other times he doesn’t. Here he doesn’t.

LOL, “The Trump presidency is saveable...”

Good freakin grief.

You and Newt need to get some rest.

Fair enough. Gingrich should have made both messages private. A public lecture that “something” needs to change is really worthless.

Correct. Especially in the midst of this media monsoon. It’s doubtful Trump will even notice it so what was the point of it? Honestly who could blame Trump for just saying screw it, I tried. Which is apparently what half of the money being bet in the UK is expecting. Oh, I might add FU Romney another backstabbing POS.

Maybe the game is more than what you think.....there are many variables at play and most we are defiantly unaware of.
