The Alameda County District Attorney filed a felony charge against Kyle Chapman yesterday for possession of a leaded stick. The charges stem from a melee between Trump supporters and anti-fascists in Berkeley on March 4. Chapman was seen carrying a long baton into several fights and was filmed cracking the weapon over the heads of a masked antifa and other counter-demonstrators.

Patrick Henry, and most of the Founders, used biblical references to bolster their arguments and to ensure themselves and others that they were on solid ground.
Most of them, Ben Franklin being the exception, were men who followed biblical scripture closely.
Even in their letters to one another they spoke of God and how they wished their actions to be blessed by Him.
Only such men could have devised the Republic they gave us.
Not including monarchies, has any form of modern government that gave so much freedom to it’s citizens lasted as long as our constitution?
I can not think of one, but I am not that knowledgeable.
I do know that what we have is worth defending in whatever way required.

I think a case can be made that “Eastern Rome” became the eastern part of the Holy Empire which became the Greek and Russian Orthodox Church and so ostensibly a weak case can be made that Rome, in it’s final evolution, from Republic, to Empire, to Holy Empire exits today. I think this is really what Putin is aspiring to, if only in a propaganda way. Which, if you read Revalation in a certain way is a pretty scary (or hopeful, I guess) possibility. But the USA certainly has had a heck of a run.
I had forgotten about the Eastern Empire. Too bad the Christian factions could not come together in time to save at least Constantinople.
When it comes to Revelations I have given up. So many interpretations and opinions.
I just leave it in the hands of the Lord knowing that everything happens at his command.
Yes, Revelations is scary. It was meant to be in order to show the evil that would grow, but also that the King of Kings will return Himself to set things right.
I also find it a comfort that though believers may be oppressed, the Lion of Judah will Himself deal with the oppressors.
He wins, evil loses.
Part of it is a reborn Roman Empire...attack on Jerusalem from “The Bear” (Russia?). I don’t get wrapped up in it myself. I figure if you do you begin to lose grasp of the critical part, “My Savior”.

And isn’t it funny though. The heterodox Franklin was the one who proposed prayer to get out of an impasse about the constitution under draft.
Before even the bible can take us where we need to go, we need the Spirit of Christ. Then the scripture can serve as a screen to identify the source of spiritual voices.
Agree: It’s so easy to start thinking of the Revelation events in terms of “OMG!” (irreverent tone) “I gotta tough this out myself, wish me lots of luck!” Calm down. The deceiver tries to deceive the elect but in the end the Spirit of truth in them zeroes them back in on the truth. It’s all turned by God to your edification. Don’t stress over errors. Simply return to the Lord and confess and accept His copious forgiveness.
We must marginalize these Tea Party people before they get here.

I figure it is planned by God to serve His purpose.
We are the sheep, our Savior is the shepherd.
The Father has it planned for the greater glory of His Son.
Each person has their faults which bedevil them.
Ben’s fault was his attraction to women. Many women.
I also believe Ben looked at scripture with a scientists mind. That is what I think caused his heterodoxy.
He knew the bible but couldn’t fully give himself up to the Lord.
The scientist in him made him question everything.
He was aware however of the power of faith and prayer in the lives of most people. He knew that prayer would soothe many a troubled soul.
Since they seem to be the only folks will to trade blows with commies and racist blacks, I only have sympathy for them.
