At some point in 2019 (if not sooner) a Republican Senator may walk into the Oval Office and say to President Trump: Mr. President, we dont have the votes, at which point the Trump presidency will end in a resignation or a conviction in the Senate.
This scenario actually occurred forty-three years ago this summer when Republican Senator Barry Goldwater walked into the Oval Office and told Republican President Richard Nixon that they didnt have the votes in the Senate to save his presidency.

Except the South and most of us are on the same side - holding the line for OUR traditions, OUR heritage, OUR culture - American culture.
And the democraps are complete communist asswipes now.
We went along with the Kenyanesian Usurpation.
No, there will be blood in the streets. The liberalstory we need to exact blood from the states and people who ever voted for Trump.
Who is the idiot that wrote this article? The House impeaches and the Senate convicts. Impeachment will never make it through the House right now.
There have ONLY been TWO presidents, in this nation's history, who were impeached! Both were damned Dems, one elected president and one was NOT an elected president and NEITHER of them were removed.
President Nixon was NEVER impeached; let alone removed by the Senate. And he may NOT ever have been; we'll never know for sure and certain.

Then they have not been reading any of the comments all over the internet. That move would be a total disaster.
And a lot of Media darlings, Hollywood scum, Democrats and Republicans, are six Senate seats away from hanging from lamppost.
All this says is that we have some totally compromised republicans for this to be anything but a demented fantasy.
Author says there are 12 Republican Senators who have spoken out strongly against Trump. He says those 12 plus 100% of Democrat Senators leaves conviction only 6 short of the required 2/3.
I think that Republicans speaking out against Trump is a far cry from those 12 actually voting to convict. I would hope that, when push comes to shove, the Republicans would solidify behind Trump. But there sure isn’t any indication of that, especially after the Charlottesville situation (which was way overblown by the leftists and communists to great political benefit).
Accusations and made up stories of collusion, racism, sexism, corruption, corruption, corruption... this is war folks and I don't forget and lets hope that the RINOs don't either have balls enough to play dirty.
Mark my words, if it does happen, hypocrite Democrats will be whining about how vicious and unfair we are and will want peace.
The lives of the senators and their families if this were to happen would not be worth a plug nickel.
Sure sure. Go ahead, start a war.
Alexander, Corker, Flake, Graham, Hatch, Heller, Hoeven, Murkowsky, McCain, Rubio, Gardner, Burr, Tillis, Portman, McConnell, Thune, Cornyn, Cochran, Isackson, Blunt, Johnson, Toomey, Capito, Rounds, Fischer, Collins, Wicker, Sasse, Ernst and Shelby are all Democrats in R jerseys.
I think they can find the votes.
Dream on. Voting to impeach Trump is the end of their careers. They know it. And that’s why they hate us.
One of the ideas considered at the Constitutional Convention was to have impeachments tried by the Supreme Court. Not sure how that would have worked out in practice...with the current lineup of 4 leftists, 3 conservatives, and two squishy moderates, could Roberts and Kennedy be blackmailed or pressured into voting for conviction? Or could the left just kill or threaten to kill enough justices to get the desired result? Anyway that wasn't the method that made it into the Constitution.
Ah, Newsweak. Several years ago they were sold for 1.00 USD.
And worth every last penny. Still worth it.

Exactly. Trump is in the WH. All they can do is this stuff.
Even Pat Buchanan said if this were to happen, a number of states would secede.
And he wasn’t talking about liberal f—ktard states like California. He was talking about more conservative states, like Texas, among others.
Fake news from a wet dream instead of reporting the facts.
The $inate does not initiate impeachment procedures the house does.
How the Impeachment Process Works - The New York Times

May 17, 2017 - First, the House of Representatives votes on one or more articles of impeachment. If at least one gets a majority vote, the president is impeached which essentially means being indicted. (In both the Nixon and the Clinton cases, the House Judiciary Committee considered the matter first.)
The ones at the end of their lives might think they were being heroic.
