The Boston Herald’s Michael Silverman reports that Red Sox owner John Henry is “haunted” by the racist past of previous owner Tom Yawkey and wants to rename Yawkey Way, the tw0-block street that runs from Brookline Avenue to Boylston Street.

I was born in Wisconsin and am a Yankee, but love the history.

And of course John Henry doest go far enough with his stupidity. The Red Sox used to forbid black players. Disband the Red Sox and all of the original 16 baseball teams and burn all the paraphernalia associated with those teams.

These people thinking they can mess with Fenway? Home runs over the green monster land on MLK blvd, or Jessie Jackson court...or Jim Rice lane.
Oh I absolutely agree the damage is real, but the damage to their “brand” is greater IMO.
