Seizing on the outrage at President Donald Trump's response to the violence in Charlottesville, Va., Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) announced Thursday that he is introducing articles of impeachment against the president, saying Trump "has failed the presidential test of moral leadership."

Cohen had already expressed that he had no confidence in the president, when he introduced the Resolution of No Confidence last month.

“I have expressed great concerns about President Trump’s ability to lead our country in the Resolution of No Confidence (H.Res. 456) that I introduced in July with 29 of my colleagues; however, after the President’s comments on Saturday, August 12 and again on Tuesday, August 15 in response to the horrific events in Charlottesville, I believe the President should be impeached and removed from office," the congressman said in a statement on his website.

Telling the truth is not a high crime or misdemeanor.

Just under 63 million voters, 304 Electoral Votes, and 30 states agreed that President Trump had demonstrated the necessary traits to serve as President of the United States of America. Trump is President unless and until the House and the Senate impeach and convict him of high crimes and misdemeanors, which does not include doubts on his “moral leadership” - that trait was approved by we the people.

Ryan will introduce articles of impeachment when he thinks he can get the requisite number of votes to pass it.

Do an exhaustive investigation of the protest, gather witness accounts including police officers, gather photo and video evidence. If it is proven the anti protesters were very violent then tell President Trumps detractors to STFU.

Impeachment does not depend on what the Law defines as crimes or misdemeanors. The phrase I the Constitution “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” is not defined and the Congress can define it any way the congress chooses. All that is required is sufficient votes to carry the impeachment. Anything at all can be adduced as the High Crime or Misdemeanor that elicits the impeachment including DJT’s hair which is at least a sartorial crime.

Bill Clinton was somewhat educational.

I had never heard the moniker “Sink Emperor” before he came along. LOL

His district is Memphis/Shelby County, TN

The congresscritter for the district I’m in must be slacking. Al Greene has been ranting about articles of impeachment for some time. Note - I did not call him my congresscritter. And Queen Sheila’s district is just across the street.

THEN DJT WILL be removed with the level of Trump hate in Congress today. I can only pray this occurs and a stake is pounded through the heart of the GOPe once and for all. Trump then runs as an Independent in 2020 and wins handily with 40% if the vote. The RAT party will run either Auntie Maxine or Fauxcahontas and have to split the 55% with the dead GOPe's candidate. The Green/Libertarians will take another 5%

Don’t you need an IQ test to be a politician? The Dems seems like they got members of the insane asylums for their members...and I might have insulted insane people.

But of course.

Keep up the unhinged, hyper-partisan crap Dems...because the American public isn’t quite as stupid as you’d like to believe. Perhaps you’re confusing the entire public with the 40% that consistently votes for you, no matter how badly you screw them over.

Please, nobody tell these people how completely insane they and their words are - they might stop doing this stuff, and actually have a chance to win in 2018.

Sounds like a poll plan. If it comes to that it will be necessary for the truth to come out. Then the whole wild will learn that the lefties were more violent than the right. They’ll learn that the right were holding a peaceful, legally permitted demonstration, and the left initiated the violence.

Are you saying that the founders put into the Constitution the ability for the opposition party to remove a sitting President just on policy differences? I am not sure I can buy that although you are more the likely correct from a practical matter. I DO believe once the RAT party can get enough GOP Never Trumpers to sign on there will be IMPEACHMENT and he will be removed.
