The FBI came in and mopped up the Branch Davidian thing. They took over. I suspect they were involved in Ruby Ridge too, but I could be wrong.
The ATF should no longer exist IMO.
There is a need for the FBI, but man would I clear the decks.
The FBI “Hostage Rescue Team” was involved at both Ruby Ridge and Waco.
The FBI even had tanks at Waco, and “special” agents were mooning the compound!
Jay Leno on the “Tonight Show” mentioned this at the time during his monologue. “When did the FBI start mooning people?” Leno asked the audience. He continued, “Can you imagine if Elliot Ness said, ‘Hey Capone, what do you think of this?’” Leno then turned around and bent over.

Lon Tomohisa Horiuchi (born June 9, 1954) is the American FBI agent who shot Vicki Weaver at Ruby Ridge in 1992.
The FBI came in the next day after the ATF killed Weaver’s son and 1 of their agents was killed in the gun battle.
Bo Gritz convinced the FBI to let him work as a mediator to talk the Weaver’s off the mountain. The FBI claimed up until then they did not know that Vickie Weaver was dead until Bo came down the hill and told them.
