Pelosi wants Confederate statues out of Capitol

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Thursday joined the growing chorus of Democrats calling for the removal of Confederate statues from the Capitol.
Calling the monuments a “reprehensible” symbol of a racist era, Pelosi urged Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) and other GOP leaders to support an effort to purge the statues from the building.
“There is no room for celebrating the violent bigotry of the men of the Confederacy in the hallowed halls of the United States Capitol or in places of honor across the country,” Pelosi said in a statement.

Yes. And by logic if the entire Confederate history is to be expunged it seems logical to remove all states that were confederate.
plenty of statues in the capitol of those in the North who were pro-slavery and fought the Abolitionists for every inch on slavery.
California supported pro-slave Buchanan in the 1856 election over Republican Fremont.
Maryland voted for Filmore. It was a slave state. Nancy is from Baltimore. One of their statues is a slavery man.

This should be a perfect opportunity for Republicans. Hold hearings on which monuments should be removed. But don’t just include Confederates. Include every Dixiecrat who ever served and has his name on something. The Rayburn and Russell buildings. KKK Byrd. Every single one of them. Drag the Democrats Jim Crow history into view.
There is one. And after watching people pee all over themselves Saturday onward it looks more and more likely.
We all, well enough of us, just go quietly into the world they have planned for us.

Ms. Pelosi MOST CERTAINLY falls into the category of “venomous harridan!”
