Trump refused to give in to the false narrative of this weekend's events being promoted by fake news mainstream media.
The leftist media and its parrot politicians from both parties have aligned themselves with the communist hammer and sickle-wearing violent extremist group ANTIFA.
President Trump has now exposed the violent ALT-LEFT for what it is: anti-American violent thugs seeking to use racial issues and rare instances of police violence to undermine unity in our country.
True, there were those on both sides of the statute debate who were present ready and willing to engage in violence. Trump acknowledged this fact.
But violence was committed on both sides and there would likely have been no violence at all but for ANTIFA showing up to light the fuse and the police on the scene for whatever reason pushing the two sides into the same area.
I am proud of our POTUS for standing up for the truth today and for the moderate Americans who simply want our shared history preserved. Pointing out where this is really headed - Thomas Jefferson, George Washington, eroding our entire nation's history over present grievances - showed the absurdity to which we are headed if we allow this trampling on history to occur unchecked.
While other politicians (Romney, for example) duck and scurry away from controversy, Trump today took on all opposition and criticism today to speak the truth. Rarely has any politician done that in recent decades and even more rarely has such a politician been a Republican leader.
Thank you, President Trump, for speaking the truth. We the people support you. Ignore the fake news media and Washington echo chamber. Out here in the real America, you are tops with us. You're doing a great job and always maintain the courage of your convictions.

We have to have this man’s back, no matter what missteps he may or may not make. He is truly the last chance this nation has.

The smartest and bravest among us are almost all supporting Trump....he has an army of followers who are getting angrier by the day... I do not wish for violence and I pray for peace.
I am ready for this to come to a head and get this over with. We now have a leader that I have been praying for. Time to attack and I say now is the the time to weed America and bring it back to it's greatness.

What we are seeing right before our very eyes is a push toward an Orwellian nation, fed by drug abuse, the depths of which we do not know, sponsored by wealthy usurpers whose lust for pleasure does not satisfy, so they lust to enslave the nation through anarchy and they hate the values of Christianity or any religion which teaches man how to live with his fellow man in peace and harmony. It is disturbing to watch the ongoing, insane, coup attempts against this President who is doing so many things to help people survive their lives in the US. Simply reading the headlines in the Drudgereport this a.m. is enough for any thinking person to see what is going on here. One headline stood out to me and that was the poll which showed that 25% of us will stand with President Trump to the end. That is HUGE because, when 25% admit it in this vicious environment, you know when “push comes to shove” many more will stand up and be counted, perhaps even the military. Bad people populate the mighty towers of the American news media, fed by ads from people who want to sell stuff and who will be as politically correct as they need to be to continue their profit taking so they can buy cheap and sell high to folks who do not have jobs because of government policies President Trump is trying to fix. He is for the poor, the homeless, the sick veteran, those who suffer from healthcare costs of treatment and drugs that take all of their income every month and his enemies are those who want to shut him up and remove him from the office we elected him to fill to clean up a very rich, corrupt Swamp which is existing to promote itself. I do not know how wise people deal with their emotions during all of this. I only know that it is only through my faith in God that I can deal with it without being very depressed. I begin my day by praying for Donald J. Trump and his family. I see that his enemies are not unlike the enemies that King David faced eons ago. King David was a man who committed sin but was also a man after God’s own heart and God protected him. I believe that President Trump also has God’s protection and I long to see God’s hand move to stifle the plans of those who hate him. This a.m., I prayed Psalm 109:1-3 for our President: “Do not keep silent, O God of my praise, for the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of the deceitful have opened against me; They have spoken against me with a lying tongue; They have surrounded me with words of hatred; and fought against me without a cause.” Psalm 108:12-13 “Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. Through God we will do valiantly. FOR IT IS HE WHO WILL TREAD DOWN OUR ENEMIES.” I hope all of you who believe in our Creator will pray diligently for our President to be covered with wisdom, strength and endurance and will be surrounded by people endowed with the same kind of mercy. I believe with all my heart that our internal enemies are the true ones and much worse than what we face from without.

While Trump speaks truth about this currant situation, the rest of the GOP is either silent or going against him. It’s maddening to watch the gutless wonders we call the GOP.
They will all have a hand in destroying the History that Trump is trying to preserve and speaking out against with identifying all hate groups.

For Trump’s courage to tell hard truths that all the powers that be try to suppress, I’d follow him to the ends of the earth. It’s rare to find a truly courageous and honorable man worry of following.
We often forget that the timing of a great leader's remarks can make all the difference.
The DemoRats and Never-Trumpers constantly criticize Trump for his tweets, as if they are a thoughtless, impulsive things -- fits of anger. But time soon shows the piercing wisdom in those tweets: the strong lance of an honest leader of a great nation.
Three days ago, they blasted Trump for omission and "not saying enough". In fact, it took courage and restraint for Trump to hold back immediately after the incident.
In hindsight we see his wisdom. He immediately condemned the violence and hatred. He also reached out to the commonwealth of Virginia to offer any help they may need. He sent condolences to the families of the killed, including the police officers. AG Sessions ordered an investigation.
And then, rather than get into a back and forth battle of words with the press when the heat of public uproar was hot and his opponents were egging him into a fight, he waited.
Then the truth came out out of the shadows. Stories revealed the terrible violence committed by the AntiFa. We heard from a FReeper on the scene who gave a stirring personal account of the terror. We learned how the police were ordered to stand down. And we could see that both ALT-Left parties -- the KKK and the AntiFa -- were trying to stir up Americans for their own political gains.
Only after these events unfolded did Trump speak out in eloquent words to condemn the actions of all the evil parties.
FRiends, we have here a rare Captain, a man who hears the calm of Reason even as the tempest howls around him.
