STONE MOUNTAIN, GA (CBS46) -
Former Georgia House Minority Leader and candidate for governor of the state Stacey Abrams is calling for the Confederate carvings on Stone Mountain to be removed.
Abrams tweeted that the carvings is a "blight on our state and should be removed". She also tweeted that "Confederate monuments belong in museums where we can study and reflect on that terrible history, not in places of honor across our state".
The Confederate Memorial Carving has images of Confederacy President Jefferson Davis and Generals Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. "Stonewall" Jackson and were not complete until a dedication ceremony on May 9, 1970. Finishing touches were completed in 1972.
Abrams says the carvings have no place in the state and were "paid for by the founders of the second wave of the Ku Klux Klan." She also says the carvings have "no purpose other than celebration of racism, terror and division when carved"

The women, mothers and grandmothers. The left would not attack them because it would be bad optics. When a group of young males show up it fits into the KKK, Nazi, racist narrative but when women show up to protest in a quiet way it would make the leftist look like bullies if they harassed them.

This has going on for fifty years and unfortunately Democrat voters have been very slow to see what was really being done to out nation but with repetition I believe that many are waking up. They must be seeing that there is a really scary antiwhite hate movement. I think that the Democrats played a double game with their white voters using the word racist like it only applied to Republicans and those evil white people from the South. I think that many white people who remember the sixties are shocked that after fifty years things have not gotten better but seems to be worse even after the trillions that we have given to the black community, after all of the apologies and the groveling it still has not improved and many seem to have no appreciation for what we have tried to do.
Younger people who do not remember the sixties are shocked to see the state of affairs between the races especially as they see the rosy version of racial relations as presented on the media.
Most large land owners at that time were slave holders.
So do we remove all carvings of them and strike their names from the history books?

Confederate cemetary in Charlottesville. Of course the Muslims kill the descendants of the people in the graves they desecrate too. The extreme left here has no desire to do that do they?

It’s their town.. why would it be wrong to ask? Stone mountain used to get tourists.. so everyone would be better served by leaving it there.. jobs n stuff.
