Nihad Awad, CAIR’s national executive director, urged state and local governments to erase every symbol and every vestige of Confederate history immediately.
“A fitting response to the deadly terror attack on anti-racist protesters in Charlottesville would be for officials in states and cities nationwide to immediately announce that every street, every school, every flag, and every public memorial honoring those who took up arms in defense of white supremacy and slavery will be removed or have its name changed to instead honor those who fought for civil rights,” Awad said in a statement to The Daily Caller.
“Removal of these memorials would be a small step forward in turning the page on the darkest period in our nation’s history,” Awad also said.

On my local news last night they interviewed the head (I guess imam?) of a mosque in a nearby city. He really didn’t answer in any way to the questions they put to him, basically mumbling, but rather replying three times, every time they went back to him, “Violence isn’t the answer.”

The Black lies matter movement and those groups that want to bury the rebel and american flags could learn a lot just from this if they both opened up their minds. There was north against south, fathers against sons and brothers against brothers, blood against blood from both the white and black families in both the north and the south fighting each other. But yet in 1938, all these old black and white southern american and black and white northern american soldeirs could come together and bring both flags together in one place and talk , share stories,, laugh, shake hands, hug, and forgive each other for that god awful war we had , that they fought. These groups we have today would do well to learn from these old soldeirs that are preserved on film from 1938. But sadly they wont.”

Limbaugh made a great point. If the left is going to tear down statues of Confederate Soldiers because they fought in the civil war, then the left needs to tear down the Democrat Party. I know of no greater symbol of slavery in this nature than the DEMOCRATS.
