CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a statement Saturday indicating a federal investigation has been opened into the events surrounding the “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville, Virginia. Sessions, who had already condemned the violence and “any message of hate and intolerance” as events were unfolding, delivered the following statement as the dust settled in the home of the University of Virginia:
The violence and deaths in Charlottesville strike at the heart of American law and justice. When such actions arise from racial bigotry and hatred, they betray our core values and cannot be tolerated. I have talked with FBI Director Chris Wray, FBI agents on the scene, and law enforcement officials for the state of Virginia. The FBI has been supporting state and local authorities throughout the day. U.S. Attorney Rick Mountcastle has commenced a federal investigation and will have the full support of the Department of Justice. Justice will prevail.

Now let me ask you. Do you really believe that the Mueller investigation will sink into obscurity? Do you really believe the Charlottesville situation will supercede it month after month?
Why? The MSN only focuses on Trump-negative stories. For your scenario to work out, Mueller would have to start leaking things favorable to Trump. At the same time, fresh, Trump-damaging info would have to emerge from Charlottesville every few days, to keep the MSM attention actively focused.
Do you really believe these things will happen? Honestly?
Because if so, that’s a psychotic break from reality, no nicer way to put it.
What is more realistic is that some details will emerge from the Charlottesville situation that are less negative to Trump. I.e.: perhaps that the driver was merely terrified, rather than a white supremist. In such a case, the MSM will drop the story like a hot potato.
Mueller, otoh, was hired to destroy Trump. To this ends he’ll keep steamrolling along, doing maximum damage as he goes. The MSM will never lose interest in a story that harms Trump.

Trump wants the investigation to continue and conclude. He said that at his presser last week. I think Trump knows more about what going on than anyone here on FR. Like I said I think the investigation will wind down and conclude, and won’t touch Trump.

The investigation is just gearing up. Two grand juries are in session. The idea that Mueller is going to clear Trump and call it a day is hallucinogenic.

I know it. These are the ones who have no idea who Mueller is or how he operates. The more you learn about this guy—a close friend of Comey’s and a dirty fixer for the Clintons—the more clearly you see the writing on the wall...and it’s not good.
Mueller will do what is required to cripple the Trump administration. The only hope is to discredit him first. Without Sessions’ help, that will be a challenge.
