He will be greatly missed. It’s very seldom one finds a multi-talented star like him.
I heard that this was one of the last songs he sang in his farewell concert — a tribute to his savior — Jesus Christ:

Indeed he was a great guitarist but from the first time I heard Wichita Lineman on the radio as a kid I thought he was great. Very uncool for a kid my age but I always thought he was great.

I don’t know much about him except that I really liked hi music.
I do recall watching his TV show and that he regularly brought his parents on. They seemed like a typical Southern family.

I remember Campbell in True Grit and how John Wayne praised him for his acting in the movie.

Very sad, I’ve followed him since my teen years, a fantastic, songwriter, singer and one of the best guitarists ever.

Wichita Lineman....such a good song for someone who grew up on the rural Plains.

He still ruined TRUE GRIT. Great musician, but could not act.
To: Red Badger
his final song was a tear jerker. Beautiful and sad.
