Trump warns North Korea threats 'will be met with fire and fury'

President Donald Trump warns that threats from North Korea "will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen." North Korea has successfully created a miniaturized nuclear weapon that can fit in its missiles, according to NBC News and The Washington Post.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday warned North Korea about facing "fire and fury" if the isolated nation makes more threats to the United States.

"North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen. He has been very threatening ... and I said they will be met with fire, fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before," Trump told reporters during what he calls a "working vacation" at his New Jersey golf club.

His comments came hours after revelations Pyongyang has successfully created a miniaturized nuclear weapon designed to fit inside its missiles. While miniaturizing marks a major step in North Korea's nuclear ambitions, it does not necessarily mean the country has an accurate nuclear-equipped intercontinental ballistic missile, yet.

The development raises the stakes for Trump and other world leaders, who already faced difficult and limited options in dealing with North Korea's aggression. Trump has tried to leverage China, Pyongyang's only major ally, to get North Korea to change its behavior, but he has lamented a lack of success with Beijing.

The U.N. Security Council on Saturday unanimously put new sanctions on North Korea over its continued missile tests. The country has tested two intercontinental ballistic missiles that landed off the coast of Japan this year. Some analysis has said one of those missiles could potentially reach the mainland United States.

National security advisor H.R. McMaster recently said Trump is "not going to tolerate North Korea being able to threaten the United States."

Pyongyang has repeatedly vowed retribution against the U.S. following sanctions or other measures meant to deter its nuclear and missile programs.

After the U.N. imposed the newest sanctions, North Korea said it would bring "thousands-fold" revenge against the U.S.

This is breaking news. Please check back for updates.

Then he is a latecomer to reality. We knew two missiles ago that it would be about every two weeks. Looking at Fri or Sat now. It’s just a question of where..

Today’s arsenal of hydrogen bombs makes Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombs look like firecrackers.

Try this:

Liberals on twitter are all like "Impeach now. Trump is going to create WW3 as a distraction".

How did we get so many ignorant liars in this country?

Iraq did have WMD’s. We have satellite photos of miles long convoy of Russian trucks transporting WMD’s from Iraq to the Bekka Valley just before the start of the first Gulf War.

Ummm, I don’t dispute anything you are saying but I recall MacArthur wanting to confront the Chinese directly.

We had those in Europe wanting to destroy Russia as well.

I think that Truman felt as though the people of the USA had been through enough.

During this time is when our enemies rose up. We did secure S.Korea. The fortitude to stay in perpetual war was gone.

N. Korea will find that it’s saber rattling will destroy them. S. Korea will be their target.

Kim must go.

This is leadership. Very refreshing. This time for posturing is now over. It is “get it on time” What more do you need for the doctrine of preemption? Don we have a RED LINE for one moe threat? I hope so very much. Fire and Fury is about to be un leashed. To hell with China and more wienie diplospeak. Get the military out of the garage and let’s use it now. CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER~!! is writ large. Go TRUMP!!

I don’t quite know what to believe. It seems like in the last two months, NK went from they might have a bomb but can’t deliver it to even Japan to “They have 60 bombs and the ICBMs to deliver them to Omaha.”

There is simply no way South Korea signs off on any kind of pre-emptive strike.

” Speak softly, carry a big stick.”

Sometimes you can spare everyone a lot of pain by just telling them you’ll shoot them between the eyes.

And mean it.

No, a B-52 could not. The bomb bay doors are about half as small as the MOAB is in diameter.

The MOAB is parachute extracted from a C-130’s open rear ramp.

The most reasonable resolution to this problem would be to have the US, China, Russia, NATO, South Korea and other interested parties work together to dismantle and re-build (or assimilate) North Korea.

The problem with that is hundreds of artillery positions pre-aimed at Seoul. ALL of those would need to be taken out in an instant to prevent thousands from dying in S. Korea. The little man who cuts his own hair has to be taken out. I hope it can be done without nukes, but it looks more and more like that won’t be possible. A threat to unilaterally use nukes by the N. Korean elf has to be taken seriously.

WMDs were not the primary reason for the first gulf war. The point is that the spy agencies and the news networks lied about the justification for the second.

One? That would do nothing other that send nukes flying by the North. Any US attack would have be fast, totally overwhelming and N. Korea-wide. We have to deal with this sometime. The longer we wait, the greater the destruction of innocents.

“There is simply no way South Korea signs off on any kind of pre-emptive strike.”

We do not need SKorea’s permission to defend strategic, existential US interests.

We simply notify them we are going in. Period.

They can help if they wish.

Or, they can suffer the result alone.

Either way, we’re going in.
