Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz never actually saw the computer she fought to block the Capitol Police from examining as evidence in a criminal case against her IT aide by saying it was hers, she told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel Thursday.
“This was not my laptop. I have never seen that laptop. I don’t know what’s on the laptop,” she said Thursday. She said it was Imran’s laptop but purchased using taxpayer funds from her office.
The Sun-Sentinel said she has refused to speak personally about the issue until now, and quoted her as saying “I’ve been on vacation,” she said. “I’m not hiding, and I have no reason to hide.”

From the video where she threatened the DC police chief with “consequences” I got the impression that it was in the hands of the DC police. Of course, who knows who has custody of it? Some Deep State agent may well have waltzed into the evidence room to demand possession.

The laptop was not confiscated as in search/seizure. It was found by a non involved third party who contacted Police. Police had every right to then take the laptop as it is an electronic device in a Congress Building. who knew what it was. DWS may not pay with prison but internally she is shitting her pants.
Aiding and abetting a felon. Nice DWS, really nice of course then there is this Awan thing.
