Batten down the hatches.
Thanks in part to warmer waters in the southern Atlantic Ocean, experts are predicting a worse-than-usual hurricane season.

How many more years will the alarms of “worst hurricane season to come”, get followed by an actual season that does not reflect an increase in hurricane numbers or their severity, before Americans start telling these weather alarmists to shut the f#@! up.

If by terrible they mean there won’t be any, they may be right.
The last time someone said something like this, “Brace for a truly terrible hurricane season...”, hurricanes stopped taking place.
Why it was almost as bad as when Gore predicted the earth would end by 2010.

We are having one of those Monster Hurricanes right now in North Florida. Actually it is a Low from the African coast that never got any fiercer than a “Low” but it is dumping a whole lot of rain on us. This summer promises to be one of the wettest summers in decades and that is not bad. The rain is unpleasant until one remembers how hot it gets with no rain. I can sleep at night without the A/C. And the forest is not on fire.

Here in Rochester NY we just had the wettest spring ever, and now we're having a very wet summer too. Last year was nothing like this.

The NWS no longer sticks to naming hurricanes. Theyve been naming every little tropical rainstorm that comes into FL, and are already up to Franklin. They have to do this to justify their paychecks when the US hasnt had an active hurricane season since 2005. The morons there are also naming snow storms!
My first degree was in Meteorology and all of my friends still in or even out of the business laugh at these political hacks in the NWS.
They are no longer about science, just pure politics.

Down here in Alabama we passed the annual average for rainfall in Mid-Jul. Our average is 53 inches, we are now at over 60 — 50 of which has fallen since May 20.

"Do these people realize what a parody of themselves they are yet?"They would have to have some sort of magical increase in their long term memory abilities.
You can't learn from history if you can't remember it. Leftist/democrats can't recall what happened last year, and don't know where to look to find out. It's all new to them, every day.

We could always expect the year’s high rihht around the beginning of August, and it was just about always 100 plus minus a point or 2.
In any case, you can bet id we had our normal 102 that the media would be screaming about warming.
Not a peep about that 54°

Predict it often enough and eventually you will be right.

Its been between 60-84 the last 2 weeks. A week ago we had a morning temp of 54 out here at my place. No lie.
Ditto here in western pa. We have been on average, 10º colder this year than the summers leading up to 2014. Temps started dropping then. We have had only 17 days in the low 80s this summer. Those were late afternoon and dropped quickly after dark.
It seems July was like August. The coming week will be like September.
Except for some humid days, the weather has been exceptionally mild. I am beginning to worry about winter.

When? I thought hurricane season is now almost over, another light or non-existent season thanks to global warming?! No, August and early September are usually the worst weeks of the season. June and July are generally the less threatening, "attention-getter" storms (that remind you to check the generator, stock up on supplies, tune up the chainsaw and outboard...)

I saved the article. Will look at it again after the end of the “hurricane season.”
PS, calling it the “hurricane season” doesn’t make it so.
Some years we have more. Some years less. Get over it. It doesn’t mean anything.
