Trump turns on GOP(e) Congress
The Hill ^ | August 4, 2017 | JORDAIN CARNEY AND CRISTINA MARCOS

President Trump is firing pointed criticism at the GOP Congress, ripping lawmakers for sending him a Russian sanctions bill he hates while failing to negotiate an ObamaCare repeal bill.

While tensions between the president and GOP lawmakers have been simmering for months, the latest exchanges suggest a turn in the relationship.

Trump lamented Thursday that the U.S.-Russia relationship is “at an all-time and very dangerous low.”

“You can thank Congress, the same people that can’t even give us [health care]!” he tweeted.

It was the second day in a row that Trump ripped the Congress on both issues, and GOP lawmakers were happy to return fire.

#19: ".Where is PRyno’s list of “Accomplishments"

There are a couple choices for Ryan next year:

  1. Primary him, or
  2. Run third party "libertarian" against him in the general to queer the vote.
My guess is that there is less than a 50/50 chance to primary him. Last time out showed voters in his district aren't the brightest bulbs in the box. Despite a lot of money and publicity from national figures, Nehlen had a poor showing.

Option #2 is a favorite tactic of the Dems against our guys. Time to turn the tables and prevent Ryan's reelection. Yes, we lose an "R" technically, but losing his "leadership" would actually be a win.

He’s going to need to fight back with more than tweets though. Congress is making actual moves against him - pushing Russia sanctions, blocking recess appointments etc. Time to hit back harder:

- An EO ending Congressional exemption from 0care.
- Complete swamp-creature purge, ditch McMaster, all Obama holdovers, leakers and any whose loyalty is to the GOP not the WH
= Hold rallies in the states of these RINOs and start inviting primary candidates to join him on stage

Give them reason to regret not supporting him.

While Ryan is the number one target to be “dumped”, there are still others within the GOP ranks (Congress and the Senate) that need to be gone. I will start with McCain, Freepers can fill in the others,

McConnell clearly thought he had McCain's vote

What makes you think this? He couldn't have just been pretending he thought he had it, could he?

I have been following politics for decades now and it never ceases to amaze me how many times we miss by one vote. It is almost like the leadership wants the Democrats to win on a particular issue and makes sure that there are just enough defectors to get it done.

The GOP is more concerned about non-existent Russian meddling than fixing our broken health care system.

The GOP couldn't care less about Russian meddling. All they're interested in is forcing Trump out of office. That's it. Period.

If the GOP wanted to it could have passed a repeal of obamacare, tax reform and infrastructure spending in 60 days. But they don't want to so they won't. If Mitch McConnell was interested in pursuing the President's agenda the filibuster would have been dead by February 1.

The democrats are worthless as are their comrades is the media. They can't bring Trump down and they won't. It's the Republicans who hold all the cards and who we need to defeat. Bigly.

Yank their “exemptions”, Mr. President. Do it today.

Repeal will be passed next week.

Meanwhile businesses are making money, people are making money, America is starting to compete again.

They can shut Trump down for the next 3 1/2 years as far as I’m concerned. As long as those abusive regulations are removed and small business can make money let the Arab world and Europe burn.

Three Republican Senators let down the side. 49 voted to move forward to at least get something moving (with final prospects extremely doubtful unless the caucus is ready to abolish the filibuster). Trump should not be alienating any more of the 49; he should be looking for ways to flip one or more of the three. Susan Collins was at least consistent. She is a northeastern liberal Republican, one of the last specimens of a dying breed, and she did what most of us expected her to do all along.

Oh bull! How naive are you? If McCain hadn't voted no there were a half a dozen others who voted Tea, waiting to bring out their knife if needed. There was Heller, Alexander, Flake and others who were able to cast a sham vote because McCain had their back. Had McCain changed his mind one of those traitors would certainly have changed their vote.

When the history books are written:

Trump...first 6 month of the of the first term:...Identifying enemies foreign and domestic.

Second 6 months:....fighting back against enemies foreign and domestic.

In order to fight the GOPe, Trump must fire all Obama holdovers and bring CONSERVATIVES into his administration. Fighters. At all levels.

Then bring McConnell and Ryan into the White House and kick their pathetic arses. The GOPe is embarrassing.

We have a do nothing Congress. The GOP all got elected to repeal and replace Obamacare and then they sat on their hands.

I don't know what McCain's thinking was. McConnell clearly thought he had McCain's vote, and then McCain broke at the last minute.

If McConnell thought he had McCain's vote, he's an idiot. McCain has been owned and operated by the Democrats for years. Whenever they really need a vote, all they have to do is yank on his chain.

Yep. Clear obstruction of our President. GOP is lighting the fuze here. They are so beltway consulted and arrogant they have no idea how political dangerous this is for them.

I think the most important thing right now is for Trump to make some moves signalling to the beltway GOP pigs that Trumpism is going to out live him. He needs to start an org and put Don Jr. in change.

That’s exactly my thoughts. Hearing smart conservatives rip Trump over decisions- I’d like to know what their savior Ted Cruz would have done different to get things done?

As much as I support Trump, I’m still waiting to see all this wonderful “Art of the Deal” i was promised... all I see is a lot of turmoil with little to show for it.

Yes the GOPe are traitorous bastards.. thats a given.

But Trump himself has to bear some of the blame, you cant blame EVERYTHING on someone else...

The GOPe congress has earned every criticism the President wants to hurl at them. They are a bunch of do nothing, self important liars who gave Obama almost everything he wanted while fighting President Trump on everything. They are the strongest argument for term limits that ever was.
