Thank God they didn’t use any foul language or “hate” the intruders. That would have lead to some serious charges.
This is why I will only ever visit Canada. They have been on the dark side for many years now.
I’m sure Trudeau agrees with the arrest.
If true, this is absolutely insane.
That’s a heck of lot of gun laws. How come there’s still burglaries going on?
Is this satire? Or has the nation of Canada passed into a dark place?
So what else are we not to expect from a country where the Prime Minister just gives 8 million buck to a guy who is fighting with the Taliban, kills an American serviceman, severely wounds another and is locked up in GITMO? Because his civil rights were supposedly violated.
Why wasn’t he charged with theft of a firearm?
Canada, oh Canada.......how far you have fallen.
Animal Farm and 1984 could never have predicted the reality of the depth of your fall.
This was Nova Scotia, not Ontario
Wait...WHAT?
Insanity. Maybe this guy should contact Trump and request political asylum.
if a jury convicts, then canada is lost.
What is this.?? The Onion..??
Roger that. This case is ripe for jury nullification.
:) Good one...
1) Sounds like a drug ripoff gone bad, so of course the cops are going to pile as many charges as possible on the ‘victims.’
2) Even in the United States, (with the exception of Texas, and only at night,) shooting at someone who is fleeing is a felony.
“Why wasnt he charged with theft of a firearm?”....
I saw that as well. Poor police work, IMO.
Glad I do not live in Canada and have to live under their gun laws.
I suspect that the guy charged was himself, NOT a “good” guy. The cops certainly seemed to want him put away for a time by leveling all those charges against him, surely something would have to “stick”.
That might work in Texas but certainly not in governed-by-wussies Canada. Good rule of thumb is do not shoot at a fleeing suspect/perp.
Ref my post #18..
they could also have gotten him for “possession of a stolen firearm”.............Sloppy police work for sure.
