A real wall provides a barrier that will be more difficult for future open-boarder presidents to circumvent. The virtual wall General Kelly is advocating for can be left wide open and unpatrolled the next time a Democrat is in office.

The next major illegal entry problem isn't getting that much attention yet but needs
addressing. VISA overstays are now larger than the number of illegals crossing the
southern border. They come in legally from Asia, far east, etc but don't leave when
their VISA has expired.

This is a nonissue, IMO. Whether you call it a "wall" or a "barrier," Whether it is bricks and mortar or steel with razor wire on top, it makes the point and fulfills the objective.

No one on the Trump train ever expected a wall every inch of the border, I certainly didn’t. Some locations along the border are cost prohibitive for a “tall wall” BUT, what is wrong with calling it a “WALL” instead of a “barrier”. What difference does it make. By calling it a barrier, the left, the media, etc., will claim President Trump is caving and abandoning his promise to secure the border.
