New White House Chief of Staff John F. Kelly believes he has convinced President Donald Trump to abandon his pledge to construct a large and lengthy wall along the border separating the United States and Mexico, according to The New Yorker.
At a private meeting in tony Aspen, Colorado, two weeks ago, Kelly told a group of high-profile attendees that he had extensively discussed the border wall issue with Trump. Kelly believes he persuaded Trump to abandon his policy goal of erecting a lengthy wall along the 1,954-mile border which the United States shares with Mexico, according to The New Yorker.
Instead of a wall, Kelly said he suggested Trump could utilize a combination of complex monitoring equipment, continuous air surveillance and many miles of fencing can effectively secure the U.S.-Mexico border.
Such a combination of materials and surveillance would be called a “barrier” instead of a “wall,” Kelly told his audience.

..and when Dem Senators join in support for Kelly, that’s another big red flag. I WANT SOMEONE THEY HATE.
If the news was reporting things rightly then everyone would know the wall ‘IS’ being built.....gets really tiring hearing all the chatter over if or not it’s being built. People need to check it out for themselves.
Part of building the wall is reinforcing the weak areas and also building up the areas where the traffic is the heaviest.
Just in San Diego alone Border Patrol agents arrested more than 31,000 “illegal aliens” and seized more than 9,000 pounds of marijuana and 1,317 pounds of cocaine last year.
The idea is to stop the drug traffic as well as stop the illegals.
But as we have already found out, a virtual fence stops virtually no one.
The Dems want a VIRTUAL wall because IT CAN EASILY BE UNDONE BY A FUTURE DEMONRAT PRESIDENT. It is MUCH more difficult to UNDO a REAL “BIG BEAUTIFUL (and permanent) WALL” once it’s in place.
He won’t get re-elected if he doesn’t build the wall. Kelly should shut up unless he is trying to politically ruin Trump with his base.

The ineligible George P Bush (mother was still a Mexican national when he was born) is lurking in Texas awaiting his chance to turn us into North Mexico, since his dad lost his chance.
If true, Trump will drop in popularity and WILL NOT have a chance at being re-elected.
He will be seen as just another phony politician who said what he had to in order to win votes.
Without a wall, the illegal alien criminal invaders will just return. Some have been deported as many as 20 times.
The wall shouldn't even be up for debate. The promise to build the wall is what put Trump in the white house. If he doesn't start making progress on it his base (including me) will turn against him. He is already on thin ice.
I don't care how the molecules arranged, as long as it works.
Whatever choices of wall, fence, aerial monitoring, motion sensors etc are installed, as most fitting and effective for every location along the border, I think the public will accept as a "wall."
I hope this is fake news. Virtual fence ain’t stoppin’ nobody!
There is room for compromise — build a real wall and call it a virtual barrier. Everyone is happy!

A real wall provides a barrier that will be more difficult for future open-boarder presidents to circumvent. The virtual wall General Kelly is advocating for can be left wide open and unpatrolled the next time a Democrat is in office.
