WASHINGTON President Trump has decided to remove Anthony Scaramucci from his position as communications director, three people close to the decision said Monday, relieving him just days after Mr. Scaramucci unloaded a crude verbal tirade against other senior members of the presidents senior staff.
The decision to remove Mr. Scaramucci, who had boasted about reporting directly to the president not the chief of staff, John F. Kelly, came at Mr. Kellys request, the people said. Mr. Kelly made clear to members of the White House staff at a meeting Monday morning that he is in charge.

I did walk through that.
Kelly is a politician. He was not friends with Comey but knew his number was coming up.
I just got a bit ticked when somebody said they were BFF.
Kelly will do his job. To suggest he is in cahoots with Comey was a falsehood.
You know what’s interesting - people thought there would be good PR from this. I am looking at the UK Daily Mail (taken over by mostly liberals), and Trump isn’t getting praised for getting rid of a guy who said some vulgar things. Nope. Trump is getting bashed for firing another person. The liberals aren’t praising Trump for getting rid of this guy. They are laughing at him and bashing him.
Were you ever in the military???
>>><<<
I’d say that would be a negative.
I knew from the beginning that Scaramucci would be down the chain of command or he’d be gone. He thought he was the CO, I think.
“Cant have that loud mouth coarse garbage”
Judging from Michael Lewis’ book ‘Liar’s Poker’ that was the culture of every New York bond trading floor back in the ‘80s. Probably never has changed.
John Kelly is bringing in the culture of high level military staff. No Animal House during office hours. Order will be imposed on chaos. Follow the rules and everyone will be happy. I figure the next crunch will be when Ivanka and/or her hubby decide to waltz in to see old dad like it’s Trump Tower and get the same reception that some general’s son would get in the Corps. Wait your turn like everyone else.
I agree...That poster seems to be clueless about what “chain of command” means or entails...
Don’t be crude.
I simply meant that his tactlessness and crude language does not sound very professional and it made me feel uncomfortable knowing that he was supposed to be the president’s spokesman and being such a boorish lout.
I am sure the Deep State is happy today. They were upset with Scaramucci firing Priebus.
I have a bad feeling General Kelly is using the lets be nice to the media and they will love us strategy.
In other words General Kelly is using the old tactics that failed the Republican party over and over again in the past.
Sorry Freepers but this sends the wrong message to President Trump supporters in the White House. Mooch barely got started and he is already gone.
You are in great need of schooling/remedial English courses in
reading comprehension! I suggest that you get help with your problems, prior to posting anything else.
He was hired before Kelly, and Trump told him he would report to him. The guy gave up his company and lost his family to work for Trump, and now he’s out in the cold. If Trump wanted him to report to Kelly, he should have said so. We needed someone who was going to crack down on leakers and do an offensive, new media strategy.
Thanks!
You’re right.
It would be funny to watch an old Command Sergeant Major or Navy Chief lock Scaramucci’s heels.
You mean that little man with a filthy mouth?
Really, he did all this to himself, but I feel bad for him.
The problem with Liberals is they know so much that isn’t true.
Thx. no need to read the rest of this thread.
When the boss picks a chief of staff - Reinse and you publically call him a paranoid schizo and use c—k in a sentence you have achieved 2 things.
1) Labeled you boss incompetent
2) Handed the DNC a campaign slogan to run in heavy rotation
“You’re Fired” actually seems like a light punishment.
That scene with the baseball bat comes to mind.
No, Gen. Kelly did the right thing and got rid of a major loose cannon. End of story.
Well overall my impression of Kelly is very positive. As a Marine myself, I look forward to the military style precision and discipline he should bring to the WH staff. I just hope he’s not a swamp creature!
I am old Air Force. I did run the ranges in the 80’s and 90’s. (AZ)
This guy needs a chance to show his discipline and not be stabbed in the back from the word go. These are the people I fight on FR. If it were left to them nobody would be in charge.
“...If Trump wanted him to report to Kelly, he should have said so....”
He didn’t need to tell him that...
“Staff” reports to “Chief of Staff”
That says all that’s necessary...
In any case, I think the chances of anyone wondering "who is this guy" before Kelly was made COS are nonexistent. He was already a key member of the cabinet, and well known by all the major players.
Gen. Kelly has a lot of experience in "Chief of Staff" type of functions, and will take the approach this particular staff needs.
