Donald Trump Is Becoming Trapped
Nw York Post ^ | Jukly 29, 2017 | Michael Goodwin

Posted on 07/30/2017 8:22:12 AM PDT by 4Runner

The next day, Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina upped the ante, saying, “any effort to go after Mueller could be the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency unless Mueller did something wrong.”

He added that he will introduce legislation to block any attempts to fire the special counsel without judicial review — and said he was certain all Democrats and many Republicans would support him.

So it is with Trump. Problems, some of them self-inflicted, that looked temporary and manageable have been compounded over time and are reaching a crisis point. Most important, he is losing flexibility to act just as Mueller expands his probe into Trump’s business empire as well as his 2016 campaign.

Various reports say the special counsel, who is amassing a small army of prosecutors, is going through Trump’s career, including his taxes and property sales, to find any connections with Russians that might indicate collusion in the election.

I can remember reading in Graig Nettles’ book “BALLS”, about his days as a New York Yankee, and he did not have a lot of nice things to say about the New York Post, particularly about Henry Hecht (one of the main sportswriters there). Apparently Graig even once told a writer from another news outlet that he would have rather caught his kids reading through a copy of “Hustler” than the New York Post. Seems that sort of idea would still apply nowadays.

And Linda got how much support running for president?! And, counts for what in the Senate? Trump should fire Mueller, Rosenstein, and Sessions. He then should appoint acting replacements for Sessions and Rosenstein, directing them to order non-political (if that is possible) special investigators for (1) Russia involvement in US election, (2) for DOJ/FBI corruption (e.g., Obama, Lynch, Clinton), (3) unmasking of citizens, and (4) leaks. Take the offense, remove it from day-to-day politics so that Trump can concentrate on agenda, like getting around to honor his day one promise to end Obama’s executive orders and actions giving amnesty to illegal aliens.

But when he ran for president he was a real threat to take 6th place ... in his home state.

Miss Linda keeps getting elected because SC allows crossover voting

SC Republicans might have to suffer voting true democrat to get rid of her

Trump isn’t trapped with Mueller. Mueller is trapped with Trump.

He has a budget, an army of investigators and pressure to justify the expense while no crime actually occured.

Donald will drop out any day now. He will NEVER be the nominee.

And President Trump's supporters will NEVER march on The Swamp in their millions and start stringing up every last swamp creature they can lay their hands on.

Those ignorant peasants wouldn't DARE...

“any effort to go after Mueller could be the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency unless Mueller did something wrong.”

This in the case of a POTUS who is bring investigated despite the fact that there is no xefinable, citadel crime. Lindapussy is living in the past. A pat in which people with gov’t titles could get away with anything. At this point I can’t fecking wait until Lindapussy makes her move...

Pansy ain’t POTUS and he can’t strip Trump of Executive powers.

I wondered same thing. How can Trump be stripped of Executive Powers by Linda and the gang?

“any effort to go after Mueller could be the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency unless Mueller did something wrong.”

Because Senator Linda thinks he has it within his powers to end the Trump presidency himself.

“Trump’s declaration of a ban on transgenders serving in the military caught the Pentagon off guard.”

The Pentagon needs to reconcile themselves that Trump has the authority to do so and does not require their approval. Did the Pentagon express consternation over Obama last year when he changed the policy himself?

Mueller won’t find any actual crimes committed, but to justify the expense and cover for the Democrats, people will be charged with a “process crime” and convicted by the press...

Just ask Scooter Libby...

I don’t know about SC but because Linda is so close to McCain they probably have open primaries just like AZ. That’s the only reason he gets re elected in AZ

If Trump is being cornered as they think, he might as well take out North Korea and Iran.

Robert Mueller has already done a LOT wrong, with his laser-focused witch hunt. He pursues a line of inquiry that has proven fruitless when applied to the Trump candidacy and election, but has totally ignored applying the same measures to the candidacy of Hillary Clinton.

Once the prime witness was identified (James Comey), and the prior working and personal relationships between Mueller and Comey were made known, Mueller was ethically bound to then recuse himself. Not only did Mueller fail to do this, either by recusal or discarding Comey as any kind of witness, but he hired on additional counsel with distinct ties to another potential target of this investigation.

Special Counsels are supposed to be unbiased and objective. Robert Mueller has proved to be neither.

Ken Starr was excoriated for far less.

Has Scooter Libby’s lie been made public?

It would be instructive to weigh his lie against his punishment.

Especially when compared to lies told by Hillary.

He should come forward and tell his story.
