Who cares what affects the .3% of the population who pride themselves on being dysfunctional?

What kind of cuck is the author Steve Chapman anyway?

Another example of Townhall and Steve Chapman abandoning the idea that Western Civilization with its Bible-based morality is a good idea. Neo-paganism is not limited to those who believe themselves liberal.

Why this story is worthless and meaningless.

On the lest of what voters consider to be IMPORTANT ISSUES and which will actually drive their vote, LGBT barely gets a mention.

Important to voters in order of importance are,

Economy (jobs)
Terrorism (security)
Healthcare
Education.

Silly issues like this one will not convince someone to vote for Trump nor will it cost him a vote. That aside the dependence of this and other articles on current polls is at best laughable and more than a bit astonishing given the unreliability and suspicion which most see in them today.

How many folks who when asked about gay rights or what they think relates to them are terrified to express an opinion other than what they have been told is the “PC” one. My guess is 90% plus will either refuse to take the poll or else will lie to avoid castigation.

This refusal to allow TG to serve may, MAY be a bit overbroad in that they could be useful in clerical positions but only if there is no possibility of the taxpayer paying for any surgery they may want and only if they (like other soldiers) are made to follow all then exact same rules as outlined in the UCMJ.

No special privileges...NONE!

Chapman seems to be the person that pre-surrender everything, was he beaten up too many times growing up?

A typical beta (I would rate him delta) male, or whatever he calls himself.

The culture war has been going on a long time, and it won't end any time soon. But the outcome is not in doubt.

Yo, Steve, did you ever hear of God? It is apparent that you don't believe in God, but if you did, you would be coming to a different conclusion.

The outcome is not in doubt, but it is not the one that you think it is.

I read a tweet from Anne Applebaum yesterday. She doesn’t want to hear anymore about needing a businessman to run the country after Trump. Okay. Politicians have failed. Anne thinks a businessman is a failure. The academics have run the banking system into the ground, reducing economic growth. Who’s left, Anne? The military? Really want to go there?

“Sen. Orrin Hatch of Utah — Utah! — said, “I don’t think we should be discriminating against anyone. Transgender people are people, and deserve the best we can do for them.””

This type of pathetic, idiotic thinking is suicidally moronic.

I suppose the military shouldd also not discriminate against anyone with a mental illness, a felon, a cripple...

Anyone who is so feeble minded as to believe that may win the current culture war but will lose the real war.

The fact that Trump took a stand against this unending slide of mindless acceptance of any cultural change that flies in the face of reason and natural human nature gives me hope. Even if the next president or Congress decide to reinstate the “transgendered” into the military, it sets a precedent.

"Backlash"?! Hello? Trump is the backlash against the culture war's suicidal tendencies, so deal with that.

Trump is the culmination of our culture's and nation's long ignored negative feedback that we now can no longer ignore.

Trump is the reset for our nation's blue screen of progressive death.

Trump is the last hope and the last rope for a drowning nation to grab to pull itself back to sanity before consequences do with US what they will.

Trump is our last warrior and we're out of bubble gum.

Exactly how I felt whenever Obama claimed for himself and his weirdo supporters “the right side of history.”

Did Townhall go on vacation and leave NYT in charge?

The culture war must be fought. It is the most important war. It has been on a downward slope in America for more than a century.

This has always happened down through history. Cultures form around standards of morality which necessitates honoring God because He is the source of righteousness. Then people stray, especially over generations when people derive the benefits and blessings of their fore-parents’ righteousness. Then small groups exit from the corrupt society, the corrupt society implodes or is otherwise destroyed, and God raises up a new society from these small groups who honor Him.

But will Steve Chapman write how we are on the wrong side of history when there are open human sacrifices to pagan deities? Will he say the same when people are imprisoned and murdered for being Christian? Will he remain obstinate when his children are molested and raped because this is inevitable?

Perhaps Steve Chapman is himself among our enemies in the culture war.

The culture war MUST be fought.

No one ever won a war by raising a white flag.

As another FReeper suggested, just end the practice of the Military paying for any Elective Surgery including Gender Reassignment and Hormones for the Mental Cases.

Instead of joining the Military to get free stuff, they can setup a Go Fund Me Page.

The political wizards in the White House don't seem to have noticed that voters in one of those Rust Belt states, Wisconsin, elected an openly lesbian U.S. senator, Tammy Baldwin, in 2012.

(LGBT Activist?) Wizards like Steve Chapman  don't seem to have notice that the abomination of natural law was quite popular in the culture described in Romans chapter 1.

How did that work out, Steve?

53% oppose laws requiring transgenders to use the restroom of their birth sex? Wonder how many oppose transgenders in the opposite sex’s locker room?
Just realized almost half are against transgenders using the opposite (as in 2) sex’s restroom. Thank goodness.

Steve is the type of guy that was supporting Carter over Reagan as a youth. He won’t be mistaken for Bill Buckley even though he writes for National Review. Much more a David Brooks type.
