As a U.S. Attorney for the Maryland District, he was a leftover from Obama who was previously a leftover from the Bush administration in 2007.
Donald Trump appointed him as the Deputy AG in January 2017.
Then he claimed in his NYT interview last week that he didn't know who he was. LOL.
