In a brief interview with the Wall Street Journal, President Trump ripped into Attorney General Sessions once again. This time, the President cut even deeper, suggesting Sessions endorsed him because of Trumps success as a candidate, not out of loyalty.
President Donald Trump expressed his disappointment in Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Tuesday and questioned the importance of Mr. Sessionss early endorsement of Mr. Trumps candidacy, but the president declined to say whether he planned to fire him.
Its not like a great loyal thing about the endorsement, Mr. Trump said in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. Im very disappointed in Jeff Sessions.
While the President is still mum on his plans concerning Sessions, Scaramucci told NBC News a decision on the AGs future will be made shortly.

Oh, snap. That’s a heck of a burn by Trump — but hope it doesn’t backfire.
This nonsense is not even one-dimension political checkers, let along chess of any dimension.
Why deliver such a message publicly? Privately would work just as well, probably better.
Trump is rapidly gaining an A-hole reputation with even those of us who supported him. Poor judgement to attack his own man in this way. He needs to shut up and get some of his judges appointed before we kick his ass to the curb in 2020. That will be his legacy since any edicts he overruled will be reinstated by the next guy who comes in and the swamp will be as deep as ever at this rate.
President Trump appointed Rod Rosenstein to the Deputy AG post.
LOL.
Sessions is a true patriot as well as phenomenal Senator.
It appears his pick for Dep AG wasn’t the correct one. Mueller should be no where near the AG office. Trump must know something that we do not.
Can Sessions go back to his old job as a Senator?
We need someone new at the AG. The previous administration AG would never have recused over a Fake Story.
Very very unfortunate. But it’s only been 6 months and now it’s time to make a change. He should have never recused and never have hired the Dep AG who then hired Mueller.
Nothing against Sessions, but the Russian story is a fake story and the real investigation is about the Clintons colluding with Ukraine and also getting paid by the Russians. Mueller needs to have his lap top access cut off as soon as a new temp AG is announced. Access DENIED.
Didn't we hear that last week -- after the first round of comments? LOL.
Yes, this is the downside of Trump’s personality. He’s is not the most disciplined person when it comes to keeping his own counsel when he should. Hopefully he won’t ever irreparably damage his presidency while shooting off his mouth or his tweets.
I was in upper management for years and fired several people. No one, other than my boss, knew about it until after the fact.
Who recommended Rosenstein to Trump? Sessions likely as his number 2.
There has to be a lot more to this than meets the eye. Apparently Trump has asked Sessions to resign and Sessions has refused.Yet what is it about Sessions that has so enraged Trump? Trump is known for rewarding loyalty. Sessions was one of his earliest supporters and defended Trump throughout the campaign. He left a powerful secure Senate seat to become his Attorney General. Could it be that the Clintons had some really bad information on Sessions. Was he a Clinton plant or mole to infiltrate the Trump inner circle and an insurance policy in the unlikely event that Clinton lost? Perhaps Trump does not trust him for good reason. In real life the spies are the people with “impeccable” credentials and the least suspected. Just wondering.
What hint? To resign? I thought Trump took pride in firing people.
I know, if the President is unhappy with you Sessions has to at least offer his resignation.
Trump always surprises - with his comments and timing. He also surprises me with his continuos manipulation of of the media. We react as the media often manipulates us to react.
Trump in turn, seems to know how to manipulate them.
I think Trump is laying the public PR ground-work for getting rid of Mueller. He
Only thing I can think of is that Trump ordered Sessions to fight the Deep State and Sessions declined.
A disappointed Trump then let it be known he no longer had confidence in Sessions and Trump gave him an excuse to resign. Sessions declined once again.
Now Trump is seriously pissed-off.
This isn’t a tv show.
I’ve been saying this all along. Sessions is most likely a deep state swamp dweller himself which explains his inactions as he is friends with the swamp.
I disagree - Trump is fighting for his political life here and trying to pressure Sessions out.
Loyalty from Session? What loyalty? He’s recused himself and refuses to stop or even block the investigation which continues on as a witch hunt.
Nobody else in the GOP is doing ANYTHING to defend Trump and have gone out of their way to state their allegiance to the uniparty. See Ryan, McConnell and even McCains statements today and the past week.
Is it harsh? Yeah. Is it ugly? Yeah. But this is how you drain the swamp.
