The Senate is expected to vote Tuesday on whether to take up health care reform, which will require 51 votes to open debate.
It's unclear what any final product will look like if that first procedural vote is successful. The first vote is intended to open debate on the American Health Care Act (AHCA), the GOP-sponsored Obamacare replacement plan that passed the House of Representatives in May.
Republicans need 51 votes to proceed to the legislation, which would then be subjected to what is expected to be a lengthy amendment process. Democrats are united in their opposition to the legislation, and if Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, is still from brain surgery and likely unable to vote, that means the GOP senators can only lose one vote otherwise the legislation collapses.
Rand Paul says he'll vote in favor of the "motion to proceed" because of assurances from McConnell Paul tweeted that McConnell informed him Tuesday morning that that the plan is to write on a repeal and delay plan that resembles a Senate-passed bill from 2015. He said if that's the plan, he would vote in favor of the motion to proceed to begin debate.

Nothing, Rusty0604. My rant was in no way directed at you. :-)
It's hard to say what Trump supports since he has no idealogy or fixed positions. He is a professional negotiator and marketeer who wants to look good and be seen as a winner. If they are somehow able to pass some bill we will hear how great it is. How truly great it is. Truly great. I am sure anything would be an improvement over ObamaCare.
Yes I think she was the vote that moved it out of committee to the floor.
That ain’t happening.
I find the fact that he has not position on this matter a bit problematic, but I appear to be in the minority.
1/3rd of the US Senate is up for re-election. TN Bob Corker is as crooked as a sidewinder, RINO.

But it was key to have the votes to begin debate. So this vote was critical. Not sufficient, but important to get things moving.
Is Senator McCain using the VA or Obamacare for his treatments?
And not one Democrat - of the party of tolerance and openmindedness - votes to even open discussion and debate on the issue - they are a joke......
BINGO!!!.....
Better yet...Let all Govt employees buy any health Insurance they want........Out of their own pocket!...Like being self employed...They don't work for any taxable “company”...They work for themselves!!!
BINGO!!!
You didn’t miss anything......,
LATEST:
Republicans vote to move ahead on Obamacare repeal.
But the 51-50 Senate vote, a big win for President Trump and Mitch McConnell, is followed by a failed attempt to pass the GOP repeal-and-replace measure.
http://www.politico.com/story/2017/07/25/obamacare-repeal-vote-senate-republicans-240926
“Republicans who voted to reject their party’s repeal-and-replace plan were Collins, Murkowski, and Sens. Rand Paul of Kentucky, Bob Corker of Tennessee, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Dean Heller of Nevada, Jerry Moran of Kansas, Tom Cotton of Arkansas and Mike Lee of Utah.”
Delete the PORK!
We are not rich people just hard working Joes/Janes, it takes deep pockets or a well known name. Which is why Kid Rock, not our Ideal candidate, many of us would label him a RINO, is polling ahead of the demRat. And may just unseat the witch. He does support the President. Many are running for lower offices. I know several who are running for Sheriff, or a council seat, or even the State House, as several are retiring in TN. My own State Sen has been tagged for a Fed Lower Court. So I’ll have a new State Sen. As he is still waiting confirmation, he may retain his seat until then and the next TN GOV Mae Beavers, the only conservative viable as Gov can appoint some one to his seat. Leg up in the next election. Mark Norris is a conservative, #2 in the Senate.
POTUS Trump would sign any bill that comes to his desk. He CAN NOT CHANGE the bill. He can either sign it or veto it.
The blame for a bogus bill lies entirely on the linguine spined career republicans in congress.
>
President Trump does NOT support that.
Should we primary him?
(In fairness, Trump supports every Republican bill so its not really fair to pin him down on any one position).
>
(R) cried they couldn’t REPEAL, so the electorate gave them the the whole of D.C.
Now the (R) cry....they don’t have any excuses left.
The People voted MULTIPLE times, over MULTIPLE elections, for MULTIPLE seats for a *REPEAL* (that was promised, over and over and over...).
The SINGLE seat of Presidency doesn’t negate the wish/want of the electorate.
Not as if he’s seemed to been pinned down one way or another anyway...
