Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick put the blame for the deaths of 10 illegal aliens packed in the back of an 18-wheeler on sanctuary cities. [Sundays] tragedy is why I made passing Senate Bill 4 to ban sanctuary cities which is now law a top priority, the Republican Lt. Governor posted on Facebook. Sanctuary cities entice people to believe they can come to America and Texas and live outside the law. Sanctuary cities also enable human smugglers and cartels.
Initially, eight people lost their lives from exposure to the heat and lack of water after human smugglers left 39 people locked in the back of a refrigerated trailer with a failed air conditioner. The death toll rose to nine later on Sunday and then to 10 early Monday.
[T]hese people paid a terrible price and demonstrate why we need a secure border and legal immigration reform so we can control who enters our country, Patrick wrote. We continue to pray for the families and friends of the victims.

To add insult to injury hospitals won't be able to collect the $800,000 to 3 million they charged to care for these illegals... So THE HOSPITAL WILL TAKE A BIG FAT TAX WRITE-OFF FOR THE CARE...on our dime.
The solution - - charge "Sanctuary Cities' in ANY state for hospital bills rung up by illegals. The IRS can 'claim' the city's checking account and just 'take' the money.
There's absolutely NO REASON why innocent taxpayers should have to pay for crimes caused by Sanctuary Cities.
(If some reporter wants to make a name for themselves they could find out exactly WHAT THIS HORROR COST THE AMERICAN TAXPAYER - FROM THE HOSPITAL BILLS TO THE POLICE TIME, EMT'S AND TO USE OF THE AMERICAN COURT SYSTEM. )
Damn, I need to get in on that.
Take the $$, fill the back and drive INTO Mexico. Drop off.
Empty trailers can’t be THAT $$$, right? /s
Walmart has a super center in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas - about 3 hours south of San Antonio. It’s probably stocked out of the Walmart DC in Laredo, TX. The next nearest DC would be in New Braunfels, near San Antonio. There could be regular truck traffic between New Braunfels and Nuevo Laredo. Don’t know for sure but that looks like the route.
I noticed something strange about this story: Supposedly in the hours before the deceased people were discovered in the truck, various vehicles arrived and took people away. Then someone from the truck also approached a Walmart worker and asked for water. Both these things indicate that the people were not locked in the truck. It sounds as if the people in the truck were so reluctant to be apprehended that the were willing to take a chance on sweltering in the truck until they could be picked up without discovery.
Thank you Mr. Patrick for speaking the truth.
Those poor people might just have died someplace else besides San(ctuary City) Antonio.
But being that our beautiful city is invested with White Guilt Liberals - people will die as a result.
They may have walked across, etc and met up with the truck at some location.

I think they boarded the trailer at Laredo. The driver said he was hired to drive the rig from there to Houston.
Houston, San Antonio (where the rig was parked), Austin and Dallas all “operate” as sanctuary cities.
