Any case that was prosecuted with him as the AG would be thrown out of court, and any convictions would be overturned, for obvious reasons.

Threads like this clearly show the difference between those Freepers who see the U.S. Attorney General as nothing more than a political figure and those who understand that the person in this particular post has legal obligations -- and deals with legal risks -- that go way beyond politics.

If you just want the AG to be a political cheerleader, why even have an attorney at all? Just put Vince McMahon or Hulk Hogan in that position, and be done with it.

Nonsense. Giuliani would not be any more of a political appointment than Sessions was. And the AG doesn’t personally prosecute any cases. Your concerns are unfounded. Trump just needs someone aligned with his priorities for the DOJ. Sessions clearly is not.
