Trump Asks Why ‘Beleaguered’ Sessions Isn't Investigating Clinton

President Donald Trump publicly chastised Attorney General Jeff Sessions again Monday, criticizing him for not seeking an investigation of the president's former campaign opponent.

In a morning tweet, Trump questioned why congressional and intelligence committees and the "beleaguered" Sessions are not probing what he called Hillary Clinton's "crimes and Russia relations."

Last week, Trump criticized Sessions for recusing himself from the investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election and whether the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin. Trump told The New York Times that he would not have appointed Sessions if he had known he would step back from the probe.

Last week, Sessions said he had no plans to leave the job.

But the AG’s office does have it in its power to reign Mueller’s open-ended fishing expedition in, whether he likes it or not, as Rush has repeatedly said. The special prosecutor must limit his investigation to a specific alleged crime. If he finds evidence of some further crime, he must ask for permission to expand his investigation to that alleged crime. The AG’s office has not done this, but Trump can order them to do so, pursuant to the regs on the books.

3. While this was all going on (from January to April), Rosenstein remained in his U.S. Attorney post in Maryland and was included in the group of 46 U.S. Attorneys whose resignations Jeff Sessions demanded in early March. President Trump refused to accept his resignation

Sorry, I just don’t see things going down that way.

There should not even be an investigation...yet there is one going on—and it is expanding into Trump’s taxes as a private citizen, and now investigating 2 or his children (so far). The investigation has only been going for a couple months...look for further mission creep.

Mentally balanced people...Well, it is summer and many people are not following very closely — they watch TV to get their news—ABC, NBC, CBS, and they are being fed a steady diet of anti-Trump news.

The Dems want to take the House in 2018 and then impeach. I don’t think the GOPe will fight that. Who is defending Trump from the GOP? I hear crickets.

I think Mueller has tasked his Clinton-supporting lawyers with finding something to pin on someone—if not Trump, then one of his family or inner circle. They will release before election...then watch that impeachment bill get multiple co-sponsors and move.

As per Gateway Pundit:

Democrat author, lawyer and jurist Alan Dershowitz went on CNN and compared the current Special Counsel investigation of the Trump administration to a tactic used by Stalinist Russia.

Dershowitz argued: US investigation is Stalinist. Crimes should be investigated, not people.

Dershowitz: I don’t like criminal investigations to start hoping that you have the target, maybe we’ll find the crime. Maybe we’ll find the statute. If we can’t find the statute we’ll stretch the statute to fit the person. That sounds like Lavrentiy Beria and Joseph Stalin. ‘Show me the man and I’ll find you the crime.’ I don’t want to ever see that come to America.

The Deputy AG has to tell Mueller: You are assigned to investigate any act constituting treason by Donald Trump or Donald Trump Jr., as well as Michael Flynn or Jeff Sessions, and any act constituting obstruction of justice by Donald Trump. That’s it. No investigation of whether Melania’s hooters are padded, Barron gets good grades in school, or Donald Trump cheated on his taxes, unless you are specifically authorized by me. That’s it. You have your scope. Stick to it.

***LOL. I think the goal here is to get Sessions to resign***

Lol. Really. If he wants him to resign he simply calls him into the Oval Office and asks for his resignation “lol.”

The Deputy AG has to tell Mueller...

Yes, in a normal political workd that would be nice and might happen. However, I don’t think he has nor will he limit the scope.

Comey publicly admitted to commuting a crime, yet he is not being investigated.

Also interesting that neither Hillary Podesta, Wasserman- Schultz, nor Obama are being investigated, yet there is plenty of evidence of collusion and crimes ...Ukraine, Obama more flexibility after election, smashed hard drives, cell phones and laptops, lost emails, etc.

The mere fact that Paul Ryan, James Clapper, and John Brennan came out this week supporting Mueller tells me he is not independent. Think about it...Clapper and Brennan said officials should ignore any Trump order to fire him...When has that ever happened in the past? Why is it happening now?

Mueller is the deep state hatchet man tasked with emasculating the Trump presidency if not out right bringing it down.

So he should fire the deputy AG, who is not doing his job, and hire someone who will. As for Session and Mueller, the former was too thoroughly praised for Trump to dump him now without political repercussions, and Mueller is the darling of the Left. Hatchetman? Yeah. But because he’s their hatchetman, he’s going to be called “courageous, redoubtable, dauntless and heroic,” and compared to Archibald Cox, thus Trump will be compared to Nixon. It’s a lie, sure. But Goebels’ maxim about lies is true.

So the only one who can be safely fired, or needs to be fired, is the Deputy AG, whatever his name is. He’s out of the spotlight, and Sessions can’t say boo about it, because he’s recused himself. and the grounds for firing him: Failing to place ANY parameters on a special prosecutor, despite the regulatory mandate to do so, and a direct order from the POTUS. He should be replaced with a deputy who will place perfectly reasonable parameters around Mueller, shut down the fishing expedition, and that will be that.

Of course he is there hatchetman. There really is no difference between the GOP and Dems left and right...they all crave power and Trump threatens to take away. Again, I will point to the glowing testimonials for Mueller by Brennan and Clapper and Ryan...

It is not going to be a fair fight...Mueller will find something. As I said before, Stalinists: give me the man and I will find the crime...

I don’t think Mueller and his pro-clinton deep/state posse can be controlled.

I am now under the impression that Sessions has been threatened—or perhaps someone in his family...Trump needs someone who is free to actually pursue criminals who have clearly broken the law...not someone who recused and is just interested in chasing pot smokers, jury tampering in BLM trials, and increasing asset forfeiture.

I understand what you are saying, but I just think that no matter what Trump does he is going to take flak...and they have already made comparisons to Nixon and threatened to continue them if he fires Mueller.

So clearly you don’t agree with anything I said as you did not acknowledge any of my points, which is fine. So I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.

You have to choose the least bad option. Firing Sessions’ deputy after publicly tweeting that he is not upholding the regs, and replacing him with someone who will at least agree to put in place parameters and firing him if he does not, is the least bad option. Mueller can then break the law, but right now the law has not even been set up to limit him. As for the three stooges and their praise of Mueller, Mueller will do his job, but confined to the law by a DGA who at least upholds it. If he breaks that law, and starts digging into everything, maybe he won’t be fired, and maybe he will. It depends on the political currents. I rather think that Trump will have a bulldog publicly denouncing his every move, a la corporal Q-ball and Ken Starr.
