New York Times reporter Greg Howard wrote a piece titled Power Play, accusing white women of racial discrimination for how they fail to acknowledge him as they pass on the street.
Writer Greg Howard, of The New York Times, accused all white women of social rudeness towards him personally, as well as other black men, for not stepping aside as they cross each other on the street. Is it possible hes over thinking it? Via the NY Times:
Sometimes theyre buried in their phones. Other times, theyre in pairs and groups, and in conversation. But often, theyre looking ahead, through me, if not quite at me. When white women are in my path, they almost always continue straight, forcing me to one side without changing their course. This happens several times a day; and a couple of times a week, white women force me off the sidewalk completely. In these instances, when Im standing in the street or in the dirt as a white woman strides past, broad-shouldered and blissful, I turn furious.

This person is mentally disturbed. Has he ever considered that people are busy and he’s not that special?
This guy needs to step back and consider that ALMOST ALL young people are like this today. When I walk down the halls at work they are like street gangs, walking abreast and so absorbed with Important Business Matters (i.e., gossip, cat videos) that you had better make way.
You have the attention of my middle finger.
Not all white women want your black seed MF’r.
You been watchin’ too much porn.
If the woman had moved to the other side of the street to avoid him, she would have been called racist. A no-win situation.
He’s lying.
That’s a very good question.
The reporter fails to understand that women have a system
if your ugly you go on the Do Not Want list it’s automatic.
Oh they do big time.
Do you mean "Guam tipping"? Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!
“Who looks at and acknowledges everyone they meet on a major city street, or anyone unless they meet someone they know? Really scraping the bottom of the barrel trying to find racism in this nonsense.”
But come to a rural area in a southern state, and most people of a certain age - say over 40 - are very polite to each other, excuse me, after you, hi, how are you - even though you may not know the person. No matter if black or white. At least that’s been my experience.
Remember Crocodile Dundee? That scene was hilarious.
Please 100 years ago men were the ones stepping out of the way.
Still are today, women are buried in their smartphones and expet everyone else to get out of their way. My wife deals with them downtown every day. They walk 2-3 across and take up the entire sidewalk and do not move over for people going the other way to walk.
Feminism attacked and murdered chivalry, and then called 911 and said it raped them.
This has little to do with right-of-way on a sidewalk. He made the statement that “white women” look through him. Is this meaning that black, indian, oriental, or any other woman doesn’t? Well, I can almost promise him that it has little to do with his color. Power women of today have little regard for anyone they don’t know and they have been trained through our education system that they are just as important as anything walking toward them. Maybe more. So, get out of the way. This is just another opportunity for the race baiting NY Times to get in a cheap shot. And the liberal education system made it available. They buttered their bed........
And it falls into many different catagories. Look at people driving. They run red lights all the time. And they don’t care. Their time is more important than anyone else’s so get the hell out of the way. And they ignore laws because it doesn’t fit their wishes.
I was stopped at a light with the other direction still running and a sheriff’s deputy car to my left, waiting. Someone in an SUV ran the stop light the other direction when it turned red and they had their window down talking on the cell phone. The driver of the SUV T’d a panel truck entering from her right legally. After she made sure she was all right, she got out of the car to find her phone. She got some help, the deputy was standing by it. In Washington state you are not supposed to use anything other than hands free. Why in the world was she on the cell? She’s been taught that laws are for someone else if you don’t like them.
It’s an epidemic of don’t give a $hit. Not what color are you so I can mistreat you.

umm, some white women prefer black guys.
anyway, i cannot believe that this guy has a job at the NYT but can’t get any in Manhattan. He is either gay, dumb as a rock, or both.
I would LOVE for him to run into Ann Coulter. HEH HEH

True.
Maybe this guy is a slob or maybe he has an opinion of himself higher than it should be.
