New York Times reporter Greg Howard wrote a piece titled Power Play, accusing white women of racial discrimination for how they fail to acknowledge him as they pass on the street.
Writer Greg Howard, of The New York Times, accused all white women of social rudeness towards him personally, as well as other black men, for not stepping aside as they cross each other on the street. Is it possible hes over thinking it? Via the NY Times:
Sometimes theyre buried in their phones. Other times, theyre in pairs and groups, and in conversation. But often, theyre looking ahead, through me, if not quite at me. When white women are in my path, they almost always continue straight, forcing me to one side without changing their course. This happens several times a day; and a couple of times a week, white women force me off the sidewalk completely. In these instances, when Im standing in the street or in the dirt as a white woman strides past, broad-shouldered and blissful, I turn furious.

It's Not Always About You
So Pull Up Your Bloomers And Stop Whining!
Ha! What a total douchebag. Lol
There is something to this.
I’ve seen it myself quite often walking to and fro during lunch or after work.
Feminazi’s apparently ‘prove’ they won’t be pushed around by the patriarchy will be belligerent to strangers. Common courtesy be damned.
God forbid a man holds a door open for a womyn!
I’ve never seen a male say anything.
With all the Feminazis around he'll likely give way AND get a dirty look anyway!
Unless your eye contact unmistakably says "Make my day".
Either way, Greg, stop being such a total ass.
Amen! I wish someone would say that to his arrogant, racist face.
I actually encourage this kind of whining. It’s good to know who should not be paid attention to in the future.
Bad news for libtard white feminists...race has trumped gender. And since white men didn’t pay attention to you in the first place, enjoy the company of your 49 cats,Crystal Palace vodka, and cut out Maureen Dowdy columns. You are officially irrelevant, as declared by that fish wrapper that gave you cultural relevance.
As for the author, try stepping aside for a woman, holding their door open for her, and, if you would like further contact, compliment her on her dress, shoes or hair. You’ll get a very nice response, putz. And maybe coffee later...if you have the brains to invite her.
Funny, I saw this just yesterday! A bunch of Hispanic girls watched from the curb and giggled, thinking the black guy was cool.
As a white woman, about 15 years ago, I remember thinking, I am damned if I do, damned if I don’t. For example, should I look at him and smile? However this may be viewed as condescending, or he possibly might think I’m interested in him. Should I not look and go my way? This will be viewed as racist and I am a mean person. Maybe should I just briefly acknowledge? Then I said screw this. I am done.
I am sick of their problems!
I work in the building next to the Times Building on 8th Ave. It’s right across from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. People are on the move and anyone who regularly commutes there knows how to change cadence and direction appropriately without so much as a glance. Attractive young, white women, in groups getting lunch, don’t pay any attention to this old white guy either.
Now if this reporter wanted to complain about all the tourists crowding up 8th Ave or the fake beggars with their clean hair and shoes, well then, we’d be in simpatico!
You: "... a black snowflake - wow ... "
And a snowflake comprised of gasoline rather than water no less. Imagine the violent and tiny explosion when it's set off.
This used to be called 'clinically diagnosable mental illness' - along the lines of paranoia, hysterical personality disorder (not surprising that more and more men display it), narcissistic personality disorder and borderline personality disorder. The Borderline's make the news, the hystericals and narcissists honor them by writing about them or themselves in grandiose terms.
Really it's just a big fat collective aggregate mental illness initially intentionally induced and now self induced by mass hypnosis using repetition, bullying and group-think.
The left has never been so pitifully evil. Always they were evil, sometimes pitifully so, but never to this extent of pitifulalityness.
If they are not looking at him, how do they know he is black?
What a Baby! We go through this phase as 11 year olds; “She doesn’t even know I’m ALIVE!!” More like, ‘She does know you’re ‘alive’ but she doesn’t give a F. probably because youre’ too whiney. Get over yourself!
ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After seeing his picture I can see why no white woman want to look at him! I don’t, either, har! Fugly fruitbat freak...
Imagine that...a race obsessed ego maniac working for the NYT.
I live 3 miles outside of a 1 stoplight town. I don't go to the city unless forced to.
Only way you would get me to NYC is bound and gagged in the trunk of a car.
>>white women force me off the sidewalk completely. In these instances, when Im standing in the street or in the dirt as a white woman strides past, broad-shouldered and blissful, I turn furious.<<
It’s not racial, you dumb ox!!!
Imo, white women are pre-occupied & self-occupied. They really are more involved with what other women think of them. Who has “friended them,” etc.
I had occasion to visit manhattan a few years ago. Almost immediately I noticed that women walking on the street avoided eye contact with me. I cannot quite recall what men did—is it the same?
Anyway I caught a bus and struck up a conversation with a woman who had avoided me earlier. It turned out that she was a magazine reporter covering a local fashion show that I was already aware of so we had something in common to talk about. I brought the conversation to why NYC people seemed to deliberately avoid looking at each other while walking past each other. She told me that NYC people and anyone visiting NYC needs to “put their game face on” while walking on the street— otherwise they run the risk of being stopped by too many weirdos, panhandlers, etc. I imagine that there might be so many NYC weirdos on the street and it costs so much to live there that one simply does not have enough time to be polite to people. Iow, it isn’t personal, but might have something to do with the social and geographical environment there.
