This is not going to be popular, but what else is new.
I think it is their training and their culture. The "cop vs civilians" mentality that is reinforced by their tendency not to interact with the public.
There have been some police murders and that does make police officers in general jumpy. But they have embraced a siege mentality to a point that I have not seen even groups that were under repeated daily threat. And it seems to be happening in areas that are more or less "safe".
I prefer a trial, conviction, and sentence for crimes against humanity and giving aid and comfort to the enemy be the fate of Betsy Hodges and other Demonicrat politicians.
