Glioblastoma can be difficult to treat because the tumors contain so many different types of cells, the association says. This type of cancer cannot be cured.
The Mayo Clinic said this type of cancer is rare with less than 200,000 cases diagnosed each year.

I’m no McCain fan. Wait, that’s too weak. I REALLY don’t like McCain at all, but I wouldn’t wish this on anyone.
Prayers for his family.
He should resign his seat since he won’t be able to serve the people of Arizona but I kinda doubt if he will.

This is an awful diagnosis and an awful disease, I would never wish it on anyone. I pray for Mr. McCain despite my personal feelings towards him.
I hope he will retire. He needs to spend what time he has left with family

Anyone who calls 200,000 cases per year of anything “rare’ is an idiot!!

He has a Glioblastoma? That explains the strange questioning during the hearing.
McCain has 6-8 months. My dad died from one of these 2 years ago. Oncologist said he has treated 150 patients with this. All 150 died within 2 years or less.

Not to be off subject, but my sweet son in law of 30 years old was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumor 3 years ago! Just saying it happens to all of of us.Ryan life just started but still working everyday and going strong!
Cancers affects all our lives in one way or another but hurts when it's one of your own! God love My Ryan! Still fighting on and providing a very good living for my Daughter and their two young children without any government help! they pay their own way because they work hard at keeping their home! We've all dealt with this, and without any handouts or national attention! We all are equal in cancer but not when it comes to paying this when you are face with terminal inoperable cancer of the brain!

The irony is that this is the exact same brain cancer that Ted Kennedy had.

I wish him nothing but a speedy recovery or failing that a peaceful end. I know many of you loathe him fiercely and yeah he’s not my favorite guy either but I reserve my full enmity for the demosh*ts.
He really should resign now, we need that seat filled. He should spend his remaining time with his family.

I’m sorry but 80 year olds should NOT be senators, SCOTUS justices, or in any way involved in government.
Go away! Enjoy the grand kids!

Prayers for John McCain and his loved ones...
McCain loves his country as much or more than any of us... he just sees the issues in a slightly different fashion. He’s deserving of our prayers ...

please resign.
you have done enough, and you are 80 years old.
time to let the next generation run things.
your ideas didn’t really work out, no offense.
I will assume you meant well, but it didn’t work.
your time as a POW is something to be honored,
you just need to go now, for the sake of the young.
thank you.

But he can probably fight it more effectively if he spends time with his family and not in the Senate.

Prayers for his health. My mom died from a brain tumor. it’s horrible. She lost lots of memory. Maybe that’s why he’s acted so strange lately. Maybe.
