U.S. Sen. John McCain revealed Wednesday evening that he has a brain tumor.
The announcement follows a procedure to remove a blood clot from above his left eye at the Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix last Friday, where a pathology report revealed the glioblastoma, a malignant brain tumor.
Treatment options may include a combination of chemotherapy and radiation.

My friend went comatose about two or three weeks before he died of this.
Amazing words for a terrifying affliction. It took my father years ago.
You know, one for the Gifford BS
Praying and wishing him the best healthwise.
But he can probably fight it more effectively if he spends time with his family and not in the Senate.
How conservative is the governor? Would he do something like appoint Ward?
So very sorry for the loss of your mom Danette , may i offer you a virtual shoulder

Prayers for his health. My mom died from a brain tumor. it’s horrible. She lost lots of memory. Maybe that’s why he’s acted so strange lately. Maybe.
I'm just hoping she doesn't suffer.
about the same as I will for that other war hero John Kerry
His poor mother. That’s who I feel for. No mother should have to bury their child and I believe that Roberta McCain is going to do the worst thing in her life. That is tragic.
Yes, that is true.
My grandmother buried my dad. It devastated her. Then I had to bury her, and that devastated me.
I have nothing inside of me for McCain other than contempt. I don’t know his mom, and I’m not going to pretend to have sympathy for her.
The news of his diagnosis creates no softer feeling in me for him whatsoever. I will not miss him when he is gone.
God forgive us both.
Had a friend in high school in the mid ‘80s with a less aggresive version of this same diagnosis. He’d get numbness in his arms, random vomitting spells, and black out for a few seconds without warning. Was in the car he was driving when he blacked out for the first time, we did a 360 in the middle of the road. Neither of us was injured and amazingly we didn’t strike anything. That evening his father took him to the doctor where they learned what was causing the symptoms. He had to go through several surgeries, chemo, radiation, and rehabilitation to learn how to walk and talk again. His hearing was gone, his balance, and he struggled with some speaking and motion.
It’s a horrible diagnosis and I wish John McCain the very best in fighting it. He REALLY needs to focus on fighting it.
I pray for McCain’s health but he is likely fighting a losing battle. The sad thing is that, when he looks back on his careers, WHAT POSITIVE THINGS HAS HE REALLY ACCOMPLISHED? I know him most for his cheap shots at and backstabbing of far better men. He’s led a (professional) life of bitterness and anger — and nothing more.
Many people who have lived to 105 years old have buried one or more of their children. That’s not “tragic”, it’s life.
Lost mine, too, to cancer several years ago.
Prayers.
He is not Teddy Kennedy or Jimmuh Carter. He is not Helen Thomas. So I will not mock his last days. Neither should anyone else. He almost became POTUS, for that let us be thankful. He would have been better than you-know-who, which isn’t saying much. He made Sara Palin famous, anyway. There. I said something nice about him.
My sister was diagnosed with a glioblastoma back in 2004 and she eventually died from it the Sunday before Thanksgiving in 2005. She went way before her time...
My mom is almost there. Hope she goes before that last state.
