His daughter’s Twitter post read more like a eulogy, rather than a disclosure about her dad’s illness. Reading between the lines, you can see she knows his time is short. I wish the man well, with limited suffering.

No. Gov. Ducey would appoint a replacement. That replacement would have to run in the next general election, which is 2018. Then the victor in 2018 would finish the term, which is up in 2022.

According to links about Glioblastoma posted by other FReepers, this cancer has nothing to do with Melanoma. His mother looked spry at 95, but she did not have 5 years as a mistreated prisoner of war. If they can remove most of the tumor, he might have a few more months of service left in him.
I always expected Lindsay Graham would show up on that Dateline NBC show 'To Catch a Predator' where homosexual pedophiles got busted in sting operations.

I can almost relate. I’m only 45. May dad passed away 38 years ago and my sister 28 years. I had another sister die 8 hours after birth. My mom and me are the only ones left. I never married or had kids, so I know I face a future alone (unless I go first, but I would not want my mom to have to bury her last child).
But I also know our time on earth is nothing compared to eternity. As scary as life can be, I try to keep my eyes on Jesus and my ultimate eternity in His perfect kingdom.
