What amazing service was that? Getting shot down? He was one of the least qualified pilots we had. The only reason he wasn't in some ground job was that his father was an admiral. And the sad fact is that being lousy at your job as a combat pilot greatly increases the chance that you'll get shot down.

I bear him a great deal of ill will. He has beea shill for the liberal establishment (when he wasn't aiding and abetting looting savings and loans -Keating 5) for as long as I can remember.

There are plenty of neurosurgical procedures that are delicate. This is not one of them. Nonetheless, the author is right that this is an intracranial procedure, and the clot itself was not something minor. If this clot was causing significant frontal lobe compression, it could affect behavior. Frontal lobe injuries can cause disinhibition. James Brady's gunshot injury involved his right frontal lobe, and it made it difficult for him to control his emotions.
