It is time for Trump to call McConnel into the Oval Office and explain that he either moves legislation TODAY or Trump will replace him. Trump is the head of the Republican party. He can replace the leaders in the House and Senate.
It is his job now!

Worst possible outcome.
Continue Obamacare for 2 years- with the CSRs authorized. The illegal CSR payments was the Achilles heal of Obamacare and this takes it away.
Bastards.

Two years, twenty years, two hundred years.... Who cares?
Full repeal is all that's needed. What everybody had before is a million times better than Obamacare. As far as "replace" is concerned, at the federal level: I'd like interstate competition and association health plans (with limitations...otherwise...full underwriting.
This is great news.

Prefer one year replace How 'bout No replacement, ever?
Get the government out of health care, and a thousand other things for which it has no constitutional authority to meddle with.

Is he proposing a two year phase out of Obamacare?
To: springwater13
If true, this is wonderful. Was my preference from the start, including the 2-year delay. Puts the election in the middle.

McCain has attempted amnesty for illegal aliens multiple times and has been re-elected multiple times.
Rubio sponsored the last one and was re-elected.
Murkowsky and Hoeven voted for it and were re-elected.
Corker, Hatch, Heller and Flake did as well and are up in 2018.
If we are serious about making America Great Again we first have to fire the people trying to abandon the rule of law and give away the country.

Wow - at worst, Republican voters get to find out who’s been lying to them, if repeal doesn’t pass.
If repeal does pass, and we work on overhauling the system in 2019, then we may well have a lot more Senate votes, making at least ‘moderate’ opposition go away. Of course people like Rand will oppose it again in 2019 if it’s a crappy plan, but at least the ‘moderate’ Republicans won’t have the power to kill it, if it is a good plan.
This may yet end well for us...

RE:”

The (GOP)doesn't run the Senate, a majority of the Senators do.

McConnell is stepping in the right direction after the GOP failed to dance around the issue. A straight repeal is the only logical move. Once Obamacare is off the table, everyone will want a hand in forging its replacement.
To: springwater13
Better idea: Repeal now, effective immediately. Do not replace it. Claw back all payments made under the clearly unconstitutional law.

BREAKING: McConnell proposes straight REPEAL of Obamacare
That's all I ever asked of the GOP on healthcare - and so far they've managed to mess that up. Just repeal the thing and stop trying to cover your rears with the Democrats and the media - they'll hate you no matter what.

“You just know theyll keep passing extensions to the 2 years.”
...of course, then, Trump will have to sign (at least) the first extension.
...and anyone thinking he’ll just do that hasn’t been watching him very closely.

Kill the beast, then take your time to do things properly. Yeah, like get the government out of the health care business, altogether.

Hell that’s an optimistic view to me. I see the following “crisis “ being used for a lot more than single payer health care. Wouldn’t want to waste that one now, would they.
