Any retailer that cannot show the origin of every bud will lose their license and go to jail.
EVERY transaction is recorded and required to be kept for several years.
Legal Pot??? Why in the world would I buy legal pot when good old illegal Cartel pot is half the price? It's like why would I buy cigarettes in New York City at a $13 tax PER PACK??? Black Market on the street smokes are easier to find and buy.

The difference in quality between a legal pack of cigarettes and a black market pack of cigarettes is zero. It’s the same product made by the same manufacturer.

In California every adult can grow and keep the proceeds from six mature plants.
And, any adult can “gift” up to one ounce of pot to any other adult.
There won’t be much of a retail market here. Nor will there be much of a black market.
