DONALD Trump has waded into the fight to save Charlie Gard and offered to help the stricken baby.
A British court has ruled that little Charlie – suffering with mitochondrial depletion syndrome – should have his life support machine switched off.
But the billionaire US President has joined the battle to help the ten-month-old undergo an experimental treatment in America.
He wrote: “If we can help little #CharlieGard, as per our friends in the U.K. and the Pope, we would be delighted to do so.”
Trump’s words come just one day after Pope Francis added his voice to calls for Charlie to be given one final shot at life.
The pontiff said Charlie’s parents should be allowed to “accompany and treat their child until the end”.

Hillary could easily use the Clinton Foundation money to charter a jet to go and help this child.

As long as it’s a plane emblazoned with the Trump logo on a lifesaving mission. That is the sort of image that drives stakes through liberal hearts.
What’s ugly is the way Charlie Gard has been treated in the UK.
Trump wasn’t elected POTUS by Europeans.
He was elected by the people of this country who’s concerns he is reflecting in his tweets.
From what I’ve read, it’s not about the money, it’s not about whether the treatment is experimental.
It’s all about whether this death panel gets to decide what happens to this child.
Also based on my reading, I think it’s unlikely that Charlie will survive. But I still stand with his parents and with President Trump. I stand for freedom. And I will pray for him.
I agree it's first of all about these medical and judicial bureaucrats guarding their turf jealousy with no regard for how it affects the family involved.
I'll be looking into the proposed treatment, get an idea whats it all about and post a summary

It might be that someone on the President’s staff is tasked with at least reading posts here and elsewhere. But Tony and Barbara are different cases. Both joined on their own...Tony long before he joined the Bush administration. Barbara joined back when FR was newish with the vitality of a new conservative medium going for it. Tragically, the years have taken their toll. Both are long gone, and FR is now only one of many sources of conservative opinion.
They raised their own money, they were willing to try ‘experimental’ treatment.
How is science going to progress without experiments? Who is the government to say “no”???
They could say “we cannot provide or try any further treatment” but who the hell are they to say “and you can’t either”
