Six teenage boys, aged between 14 and 16, are accused of stealing a Porsche and $200,000 during a Florida burglary - before blowing the cash on gold jewelry and teeth, and high end cars for themselves and their mothers. The teens; Rural Scott, 15, Jeremiah Laplace, 15, Michael Bush, 14, Joshua Sargeant, 14, Shomari Smith, 14, and Walter Walker, 16, all from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, were charged with burglary and grand theft this week.

The line between Grand Theft Auto (the game) and reality just blurred.
They’re not that baby faced imo.
This guy keeps his life savings in cash in a safe? Sounds like the police need to be investigating the "victim" too.
This kids have been wards of the state for their entire 14-16 years.
Now they have really become life-time dependents of Uncle Sam and the taxpayers.

And they will be put in juvenile facilities for a couple of years, come out seasoned, and will have their records erased for a fresh start. Hardly seems worth it to spend the money on them so they can get three squares, a roof, and an education. It’s nothing more than a boarding school.
And I find it fascinating that it was a foriegn news source and all their cars were pictured.
Why didn’t a bell go off in their parents heads when all this money showed up? The parents should be arrested for child endangerment by letting this get by.

Bad news.
This is now gone national and is a huge incentive for burglars to hit affluent neighborhoods.
At least the cops should be able to recover over a hundred K of the mans savings.
Sadly, we'll have to wait until they do something serous before we can lock them up for hard time.
When I read this “before blowing the cash on gold jewelry and teeth” it did not take me long to know what color they were.
Nothing will happen to them. They will be sent to a juvenile detention center and there they will learn even more evil things to do. By the time they are 21 they will be hardened criminals in prison for life.......................
So sad. All 6 were aspiring rap artists getting their life together and planning for college and along comes this evil Porsche and money and ruins their lives.

Tell me this isn’t odd. from the article:

Those aren’t baby faced. I have a 4 month old, and her eyes have 1000s of times more life in them, than all 6 pairs of theirs.
Why is it on this board some FReepers always think that anyone who has cash is automatically a criminal. Why do you think the victim needs to be investigated?? Is it because he drives a Porsche and has cash on hand? In this day and age, $200K stuck away for a possible SHTF scenario is quite reasonable.

Kept looking in the story for the mothers to be arraigned as accessory at least. Probably a reporting oversight.
