Several stories have emerged with reported details of the testimony given by Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats in a closed-door session before House investigators.
And Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-SC) is furious about it.
"About eight hours ago, Adam Schiff and I looked Dan Coats in the eyes and we assured him that there would be no selective leaking of his testimony to us. And I’ll be damned if eight hours later, there aren’t three different leaks with what he told us.
"So if anyone is questioning why Congressional investigations aren’t taken seriously, and are viewed as political exercises, you need to look no further than the fact that we looked one of our intelligence officials in the eyes and promised him there would be no selective leaking. And here I am being asked about it not even eight hours later."

I’d think the various potential leakers would have their connections to a given outlet and that this is known by now as far as just who is connected with whom, given that leaks have been such a major issue.

Time for lie detectors. IIRC, FBI members are required to take them periodically.
Gowdy can huff and puff and he’s good a cross examining witnesses before congress but at the end of the day I don’t know of anything he’s really accomplished.
You put each one of them in a room with a Jack Bauer type and you will have your leaker(s) before the sun sets.

What I read here on FR in a nutshell was that Coats said to Trump that there is no evidence of collusion, and Trump harped on this fact stating over and over that this info needs to get public. The spin being that Trump was obsessed with these Russia investigations and wanted them to go away and therefore obstructed Justice.
Reality is if you had this issue dogging your agenda and you knew the truth having been a major part of your campaign, you would encourage people like Coats, & Comey to go public and help clear this up.
But Trey makes a good point. What is the point of a congressional investigation? - NONE other than to provide ‘face time’ for the cmte members and Closed Doors only means we get to spin what was said for the public. In other words total BS and we drag this out to 2018 mid-terms and if Dems win, here comes impeachment for obstruction to kill Trump agenda and possible re-election bid
Maybe Trey did it himself so as to provide himself with another moral platform to speak from.

This one should be an easy arrest. It was one of the 8 or Coats himself. FBI aka Keystone Cops where art thou? Oh, sorry you all are busy orchestrating a soft coup against a duly elected president, my bad. Our country for a professional, non-corrupt law enforcement agency out there somewhere!!!
Gowdy is as worthless as teats on a bull.
I used to like Gowdy, but I find he’s all hat, no cattle......
