Former US vice-president says green revolution is bigger than industrial revolution and happening at faster pace than digital revolution.
The climate movement should be seen in the context of the great moral causes that have transformed and improved the outlook for humanity, he told the Ashden green energy awards ceremony. It was wrong to allow slavery to continue, it was wrong to deny women the right to vote, it was wrong to discriminate on the basis of skin colour or who you fell in love with.
Gore acknowledged there was opposition to strong action on climate change, but cited the US civil rights movement as an inspiration: During some of the bleakest days of the civil rights movement, Dr Martin Luther King Junior was asked by one of his fellow advocates how long is this going to take and he famously answered, not long because no lie can live for ever.
Gore told his London audience he was optimistic of success, despite the recent US withdrawal from the global Paris climate accord: No one person can stop the climate movement or the sustainability revolution we are going to win no matter what President Donald Trump tries to do.

What? Not the fight for a “livable” wage?
(whatever that means)
Except slavery was real.
Resisting climate change efforts is like resisting the marxian ideal of central control of the means of production.
The only problem is, Al, you want others to give up their lifestyle but you aren’t willing to give up yours. You lead by example
Gore is just talking up his investments
We already have enough govt enforced slavery of US citizens.
Giving Massa Gov more power over us is a move towards more onerous slavery to gov.
ROTFL. Weird Al is at it again. Bank accounts must be getting low.
AL GORE'S SLAVE QUARTERS
Gore's Italian-style house is located on 1 1/2 acres complete with swimming pool, spa and fountains, high ceilings with beams in the public rooms,
a family room, a wine cellar, terraces, six fireplaces, five bedrooms and nine bathrooms in more than 6,500 square feet of living space.
Can Gore be more stupid, what does he know about fighting against slavery he has never done so. He continues to be nothing more than a political opportunist and a Commie Bastard.
Dear Al,
Your analogy makes no sense.
Sincerely,
The World.
Slavery is the inhuman attempt to “own” another human, an act that is against nature, although widely practiced throughout history.
Denying that human actions constitute a significant proportion of the rise or fall in the temperature of the Earth is entirely reasonable.
Weather is the Earth’s action in response to temperature changes, an action that has as its end-result the lessening in intensity of the temperature differential.
I am so sick of this EnviroMental religion.
She has to be so happy to be free of Al the freak.
Coming from a guy whose dad supported slavery and the KKK.
Where are the black pastors calling him out?
Where is Sharpton, Jackson?
Where are the BLM “leaders” calling him out?
In fact, WHITE conservatives need to call him out and take this ground back by speaking the truth!
Al Gore is a nut.
Where are the ugly solar panels?
And I don’t think BLM is gonna like Gore’s analogy to slavery very much!
