The journalists on CNN prove daily that they are members of the opposition party when it comes to the President. Inside Politics host John King on Tuesday delivered a whining speech about Donald Trumps bad treatment of journalists. Specifically complaining about press access, King huffed, There's a bigger issue about White House transparency and secrecy.
King spent time demanding televised press briefings, chiding, I'm a TV person, so we want the camera in the room. Getting worked up, the journalist snapped, But it is bad. It is bad when an administration starts to retreat from a public disclosure and public discourse.
Admitting that hed gone from standard mid-day reporting to advocacy, King concluded, Thats my speech.

“Two angry men.”
No argument from me on that possibility!
I like the Clay Christensen piece a lot. Short and sweet explanation of why religion is important. Thanks for forwarding that.
I'm working on a little project to translate into plainer English another English translation of Bastiat's The Law.
What I love about The Law is it gets down to core principles. He walks you through our God-given gifts that precede government and... Why do we need police? On what authority? And what are the different kinds of "legal plunders" (pirates) in our society?
It's fantastic stuff. And I hope that by working that a bit and translating the translator's work into something more readable, it might be something worthy to discuss at dinner time with youngsters.
In my old age of 64, I no longer worry about quoting someone like Emerson exactly. If there's a better word that is clearer to people who live today, I sometimes substitute that to make the reading more accessible.
If you're interested, here's the work in progress with my changes in red (in MS Word format).
Well, we only need to reach a few. I’m sure when you were growing up you probably attended one of those Catholic “retreats”.
It’s purpose was much the same.
But people are not tuned into God like they used to be...I don't know if it's the evil surrounding the world, the evil of the people, and I'm going to use Francis of my Religion, as I fully believe he is the ‘False Prophet’ teaching our young people different values...T.V.; social media; not having a job during the summer like we did growing up; not being able to physically socialize one on one; I think it's all of this rolled into one personally...
They don't know how to count change back to you, if they get confused they just look at you like ‘deer in the headlights’ reaction...we had to use old relics for cash registers and count out the money...they can't put their cell phones down for one second while taking an order at a fast food place, come on...really???
I think what President Trump is doing is great, like the old Technical Colleges that we used to attend, they don't have shop anymore, cooking, sewing, none of that in schools, at least I haven't seen it and I volunteer at an elementary school...a lot of children do not have a very long attention span, manners are beyond terrible...
PP,read only your beginning paragraphs, however, it is written in such a way that persons not adequate in ‘law speech’ will understand. Basic English seems to go out the window when attorneys explain their opinions and deductions. Will return to the assignment :-) in the next few days (more fully awake and able to absorb your words). We mature citizens do need our sleep and tomorrow morning will be coming too soon.
P.S. 64 is not old. It is the new ‘40’. Age is all in your frame of mind. DJT is 70. You’re a spring chicken! Whatever the age, it certainly beats the alternative.
The feathers of the pillow are calling to rest my head.
I concur. In fact, I was very surprised to see a guy in my neighborhood. Here in Georgia, you have to mow the lawn every week for 2/3rds of the year.
But this guy has two sons. They are outside shoot baskets, but I never seen them pushing a lawn mower.
Why is that? It’s the same as not having shop class I guess, and this will surely destroy the country if the kids don’t learn how to work — and don’t respect work.
You explained the landscape very well, and it’s is indeed sickening. We the Dad, Donald Trump, more than ever.
Nighty, night, my FRiend. Thanks for your encouragement.

Rachel Madcow’s ugly horse face is strikingly similar to Horseface John F-ing Kerry’s.
Both horsefaces I’m sure are “deeply saddened” today LMAO.
I guess CNN needs sine cheese with that whine.
