HEADS UP-
INPUT NEEDED
RE: PING LISTS/GRAPHICS

I am not sure about others but my inbox is full of "remove me from ping list" and reason is graphics on ping list. I really don't want to lose participants over this issue. We have a great group of contributors but they get discouraged too (as I can attest from my PM FR mail)

I also do NOT want to stop the great graphics from being shared

Ray, Pax and I want your HONEST INPUT and ideas

a Decision will be made by tomorrow and I will post it in the daily ping

Maybe a poll of sorts

Here are some thoughts of mine off the top of head:

1) Two Ping Lists: One for Tursday (TBT) and Saturday(Week in Review) and one for the other days which will NOT be graphic intense.

2) a monthly graphic thread - Ray(our robust graphic guy) or I could start it if it is only once a month. Everyone can put graphics there to their hearts content. The ping would be simple and only one graphic. We would link this to the Dose train here daily much like hoosiermama does the prayer thread

3) on Thurs and Sat Ray posts his large file only to himself and when he posts the Ping, has a Link to the prior post with the graphics. Clickable for those who want them.

I love graphics and keeping up with it. I am a visual person over other senses. My iPhone doesn't permit me to see most of pix. My pretty powerful mac only permits me to see a small amount. This is frustrating as I am not sure if it is my computer's fault or FR software issues. My understanding is the pix are NOT in the server system here but merely hot linked....

for me a secondary consideration is my lack of wifi at home. So if you are still on list after you asked to be removed... It is in the works...LOL

We don't want to cause more issues here at FR but we do need to be notified if there is something we can do to help prevent problems.

I understand and my old (8 years) Macbook Pro probably doesn’t appreciate it but I love the graphics. Maybe cut down on the flashing lights and stay with the photos.

The graphics are beautiful! and appreciated; however posting them separately once or twice a week would streamline the main thread, which I would find preferable.

However, I do not feel strongly about it if the majority would rather have the graphics remain here on the main Trump train thread.

I enjoy the graphics. Leave them just as they are. They’re a little pick me up from the otherwise horrifying and depressing news on the regular thread.

Can’t imagine why people are complaining. They can turn their pics off but don’t punish the rest of us. I have the worst speed ever but not complaining. It’s true, we haven’t upgraded to higher speeds for 20 years now. The service guy was here yesterday and said they don’t even offer a package anymore with such slow speed.

I would not change a thing.

These “Dose” threads are meant to be a reflection of what is happening in real time each day during the Trump Administration.

As such, they will become an invaluable asset in the future as history is recorded each day.

Also, the pictures and graphics are integral to telling the story of what happens each day.

I know I would miss so much if pictures were not posted, as I would not see those pictures anywhere else in many cases.

Also, you have enough to do than to be worrying about creating another thread or post, for the purpose of eliminating pictures or graphics. Invariably, you will eliminate important visual information for a very transitory goal.

As hard as you try, you will not be able to please all of the people all of the time.

All of FR deals with pics and graphics on almost all of the threads. They are part of the story.

If folks don’t want to participate, then they are free to do so.

Technology marches on.

Trump’s daily story has to include pictures and graphics. It is the only way to tell the story as completely as we can.

Which, ultimately, is the purpose of these threads.
