Let me preface this by saying that this is not sarcasm. I live in the west suburbs mid/upper part of Portland Oregon, (lots of high end construction work here is why) It rains close to 300 days a year here so there is mold everywhere. shortly after moving here for work, I contracted bacterial pneumonia. After several weeks of it getting worse and turning to fever and flu like syptoms I went to urgent care. The Urgent care clinic charged me $160 for a visit even with "health insurance" and told me it was probably a viral pneumonia, come back in several weeks if it doent go away, said they do not like prescribing antibiotics. I demanded antibiotics NOW, and was very assertive about it. The lady then said "have you considered end of life care, because chronic lung conditions like pneumonias tend to return every year. " I am not kidding, I just said give me the prescription now ! and left

I am terrified of oregon healthcare being 62 years old , I think the young sociaopaths in the industry want to kill off the old farts

I need a knee replacement bad but am afraid they will use it to kill me off, I will just keep limping in excruciating pain to the finish line

we ave absolutely no one to defend and protect us , certainly not the government

Maybe forego the high-end construction jobs and move east of the Cascades where human life is still respected (and climate is dry)? We actually have plenty of construction jobs also.

Or, take a medical vacation to Mexico and buy a knee. Since the progressive changes to our health care system under Bush and Obama, Medical Mexico has become a booming business.

However, being irritating in a hospital at our age is very dangerous. My Grandma chewed out a nurse at a hospital one night who was very rude, next morning she was dead. Seems that nurse made a mistake with her meds that night.

Wow, that is a frightening experience you had, but one about which all seniors need to know.

Sorry about your experience. Go ahead and get your knee replaced. But go to a different doctor that this one you experienced.

God bless you in your trip.

Sending you a FReepmail.

The logic follows this track: If the Holy Triune God does not exist, as evolutionary humanists claim, then human beings are nothing but dehumanized products of evolution worth less than nothing. Furthermore, without the one true God, there is no absolute commandment against murder, no eternity in hell to fear, thus no reason not to be evil. This is where we are as a society and why your fears are grounded in reality.

A dite younger here. Had bronchitis with first time asthmatic symptoms. Went to my doc’s group where they sent me home with a po2 of 89. I had the distinct feeling that they were not going to get me anything more than the treatment I had.

I picked a po2 monitor and am in the market for a small portable 02 concentrator to have on had if needed. I have no respiratory issues the bronchitis was something that I caught on the job in healthcare. I just want the equipment on hand. We will have to provide our own care.

Anyone have an o2 concentrator for sale?

Get out of Oregon.

BTW this is the group I have worked with for over 36 years in Maine with a great reputation.

I can no longer trust them and do not know where to turn.

I too am not being sarcastic, but if it’s that bad have you considered an alternative?

It’s called MOVING to another State.
