To: Tilted Irish Kilt

Your link isn’t working for me, but I think I’ve seen this list before and it’s very do-able for just about anyone.

One reservation. if this is the list that includes Vienna Sausage: I’ve stopped buying that for longer-term storage. At least in my area, you can no longer buy it in old-fashioned cans, but only the less durable ‘pop tops’.

One of my fellow Cubs was kind enough to give me a Vienna Sausage to roast on a stick, in the story above.
Today I have big bags of rice and pinto beans in the chest freezer, and many cans of Spam for flavor and intestinal lubrication.

About Vienna sausage:
I love the stuff! However, the sodium and preservative content is OUTRAGEOUS!

When I had dental work some time back, I reacquainted myself with the baby food aisle. There is a product called “Chicken Stix” or some such, which is low sodium vienna sausages in glass jars. About 100 calories in a jar, FWIW. They actually taste decent too.
