James Comey, the former FBI director who was fired by President Trump last month, is expected to tell a Senate committee that the president asked him to back off the investigation into Mike Flynn, a source told The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday.
The report said Comey could testify as early as next week.

Comey’s trying to build his case on how he took Trump’s ‘hope’ as an ‘order’...though it wasn’t.
He just said he...” didn’t have the presence of mind!”

“Hope” was intended as an order, but Hillary mishandled classified material with no “intent”?
This is more like a grievance hearing at the EEOC than a Congressional hearing.

A purposeful legal tool for if he ever is caught in a direct lie (like if Trump really did tape the conversations), he can always come back and say that he was unsure and point to the "I might be wrong" as his perjury defense.
His voice is rising in pitch and he’s talking faster.

Rubio’s doing well here.
I was surprised at her questioning. She didn't bore right in, but she got him to admit he was a weak, cowardly actor and for that reason failed to be honest and forthright with his own point of view, to Trump.
Rubio doing a good job.
