James Comey, the former FBI director who was fired by President Trump last month, is expected to tell a Senate committee that the president asked him to back off the investigation into Mike Flynn, a source told The Wall Street Journal on Wednesday.
The report said Comey could testify as early as next week.

That's what it was billed as, and that's what it is. Comey is slamming Trump, and you are corect, the committee is going along with that. Trump is getting close to ZERO support from the GOP members of the committee, and Comey is elevated to the white hat.
LOL, Comey calls him actions "cowardly way" to deal with a situation, context is phone call re: lifting the cloud, say in public what you say in private, not investigation against Trump.
Well I anticipated that he would say this as well, it is an absolute disgrace. The democrats don’t care a rats ass about Russian involvement, they are out to get Trump on a related charge such as obstruction of justice. Comey’s testimony is an attempt at a head shot. AS far as I am concerned they missed a mile!

Neither former President Barack Obama nor any member of his cabinet warned state election officials of any Russian effort to hack or interfere with the country’s electoral systems, according to the president of the National Association of Secretaries of State. “We did ask,” Denise Merrill, Connecticut secretary of state and the association’s top official, told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group Wednesday.
“And over-and-over again, they did say there was no credible threat that they had found. And they said that right through the election, and the next administration reiterated that. Over and over again when we asked, we were told there was no actual threat that they knew of,” Merrill said.
Asked if there were any private briefings for state election officials on possible Russian interference prior to the November 2016 voting, Merrill said, “No. We were not briefed on any of that. We were not told in advance.”
Merrill also claimed the Obama administration failed to take state officials aside about a potential or real Russian threat to election machinery.

How would anyone ever know if Comey recorded the conversations faithfully into his Dear Diary afterward? Why is this taken as fact?
Exactly. And to this day..... there is absolutely NO EVIDENCE of Russian involvement of the hacking into Podesta's emails. Just Obama FBI operatives taking the word of DNC operatives. The FBI never investigated the DNC servers directly.
Comey is so good he didn’t want to tattle on Trump.
