A new and exclusive report by The Daily Caller – Neither Obama nor any member of his cabinet warned state election officials of any Russian effort to hack or interfere with the country’s electoral systems, according to the president of the National Association of Secretaries of State.
Via The Daily Caller exclusive:
“We did ask,” Denise Merrill, Connecticut secretary of state and the association’s top official, told The Daily Caller News Foundation’s Investigative Group Wednesday.
“And over-and-over again, they did say there was no credible threat that they had found. And they said that right through the election, and the next administration reiterated that. Over and over again when we asked, we were told there was no actual threat that they knew of,” Merrill said.
Asked if there were any private briefings for state election officials on possible Russian interference prior to the November 2016 voting, Merrill said, “No. We were not briefed on any of that. We were not told in advance.”
Merrill also claimed the administration failed to take state officials aside about a potential or real Russian threat to election machinery.
“That’s right because I don’t really think there was one,” she said.

I remember reading articles that I am sure were posted here about States seeing DHS servers probing and scanning their election systems. Anyone else recall those stories?
This whole Russia hacked the election was started by the Obama Admin to give them cover for surveilling Trump illegally - IMO.

Didn’t the Obama regime specifically say that there was NOT a danger of election hacking because a Presidential election is 50 different elections carried out at the local level so it would take 50 different hacks?
And didn’t they further say that states could give the deep-state federal machine access to help them beef up their security just in case?
And didn’t DHS hack Georgia’s election system when they refused to give the deep-state access to “fix” the system?
And doesn’t the NSA have the ability to put Russian footprints on any hacking effort they want to do?
And doesn’t George Soros have some connection with the Russian company that owns the vote-counting software in many US states?
And didn’t Dennis Montgomery say that Brennan and Clapper hired him to come up with a way to download the Florida voting database and upload a different one - all undetected - and that it was done for the 2012 election in which the Florida vote in just a few large democrat precincts had been predetermined to be critical to Obama’s reelection? (Making it clear that hacking elections is what the deep-state does...) And didn’t Brennan and Clapper still have that software in 2016?
There is an investigation that needs to happen, but if it’s an honest one I think it will end up totally backfiring on the deep-state criminals who have been operating freely before the new cop arrived in town. This is why we the people elected the new cop, and the deep-state and media (but I repeat myself) efforts to destroy the clean cop we elected needs to be exposed and they need to be told to go to hell.

I do not recall Georgia ever getting an answer from DHS either. Maybe we'll get a hint about that today....

I am firmly convinced that the democraps did as much hacking as they thought they could get away with, and still lost.
They predicted her being ahead by 10 percent.
But Trumps rallies compared to hers showed vastly more enthusiasm and support for him. 20,000 people regularly showed up for his, when she could barely scrape together 500. That’s the reason she stopped holding them and appeared to not really campaign the last months.
I think his margin of victory would have been closed to 20 to 1 if all the vote fraud was removed- AND THEY BETTER GET A HANDLE ON IT FOR 2018!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even still, releasing e-mails--many of whose content was significantly buried by left-leaning media outlets--has no guarantee to sway a US Presidential Election. There's simply too many variables involved, including human nature.
The Left's strategy is only to maintain a shadow of a doubt. They know they'll never be tasked to prove a specific kind of impact on the election, and for their fund-raising and ability to not let 2018 midterms get away from them, they need a shred of doubt around Trump so they can tie the rest of the GOP to him.
