John was a fiercely loyal FRiend to us and loved by many. We will all miss him.

We want to spend some time with all of John's FRiends and honor this amazing person.

How I wish I could be there!
Johns passing was just devastating to me.
The sun doesn’t seem to shine as bright anymore.

Funny, the other day I bashed my head on a cupboard door, and I swear I could hear him say “Don’t do that, ya TARD!”

You are all so dear to me, I will be with you in spirit.
I am saving my pennies to come down in October, but I cannot do both.

That’s exactly what he told me when I ran smack dab into the open freezer door once a long time ago. But he loved us. :)

Miss you too! John would be pleased that we are all getting together this weekend. He loved our get togethers and always wanted everyone to stay at his house! 😢

I’m glad he got back to Tx.

I think he was born on Corpus Christi.

Pies sound delicious! Glad you are coming! I guess we better get to talking about food! John would want us to have great food & margaritas! I will do a veggie dip, boiled shrimp & cheese/crackers. Also will get the paper plates, napkins, utensils. Let me know what else we are planning to have and I can help with that too. Whoever has the ping list, please forward and I will start herding cats! There will be an ice chest available for beer & drinks. Bring swimsuits in case you want to jump in pool to cool off! Please bring any great photos you have of John too!

Let me know what I can bring or I will go with lauren when I get there and purchase what is still needed. If I bring it from here, it’ll need to be something non-perishable. LOL!

I was thinking we could have pick up food until around 4:30 or so and for those who can stay into the evening, we can make some burgers or barbeque chicken and fixins around 5:00, but it is up to you guys. I can make some potato salad and beans if you and Diane can bring the meat and sauce. We have a grill available. Also folks need to bring whatever they want to drink. Maybe you and Dianne can bring the stuff for margaritas too?

Sounds good to me. She did say something about peeling potatoes at the time of my arrival, so maybe she’s doing the potato salad. Y’all determine that and I’ll help fund and/or prep the food. :)

Looking forward to seeing everyone again.

Got some food covered, I will bring potato salad and beans, and another salad and dip. Will be happy to bring meat for burgers, buns and fixin’s, and some chicken to BBQ.

That just leaves the margarita ingredients. LUV W and I can work that out on Friday afternoon.
